Westinghouse Hydraulic Service/Passenger Elevator @ Valley View Mall - Roanoke, VA

(1-1-20) Way back in a service corridor is this Westinghouse elevator. You'd think this would be a staff only elevator, but this particular service area is open to the public! This is a rather basic Westinghouse service style elevator, but it runs well.

Elevator looks and seems original. What I’ve noticed different about it is the outside doors, it used to be painted

You need to drop business cards to fix their floor indicator... but, otherwise, it's in great shape! (I really enjoyed the "free gift" cabinet.)

I have some big news for Andrew I think he would love. There is a camera that just started broadcasting Norfolk Southern trains a couple of weeks ago in his hometown of Roanoke on KZbin. It's a 24/7 livestream feed. Wondered if Andrew would be interested checking this out. The channel is Virtual Railfan.

valley view was dead that day also jason and I had some fun after this elevator .. we nearly got locked in the mall and when we found an open exit we had to walk halfway around the outside of the building to get to the car
