Thanks for watching! Just to let you know, due to all the content filmed on this trip there will be MIDWEEKERS coming up as well (Tuesdays at 10am UK time). And these will be FULL VIDEOS, not just bonus uploads, so I'd better get back to editing eh? A lot of work still to do :)

Actually Steve I live in Ontario but have visited St John’s and Newfoundland several times. It is a fascinating province full of friendly people. The approach to the airport from the Atlantic is always interesting. Enjoy the pubs in St John’s and take a hike through the Battery to Signal Hill through the narrows then climb to the top. Then it’s down hill with beautiful vies of the city.

Yotel is a discount trendy chain. While they're not five-star, they're fine for what they promise to provide. That awkward bathroom is part of the allure--they had the same arrangement in their Washington DC property. Just make sure if you are sharing the room with someone, that someone is fine with you showing off all the human being stuff we all have to do. I think Yotel is probably better experienced as a single traveler...

My wife used to make this journey every few months to visit (before her immigration was sorted). It's a heck of a journey to get to Newfoundland.

Crazy that your flight from Aberdeen to Gatwick was less expensive than a night in that Yotel. The Canadian welcome you received by that couple offering you a ride reminded me of the kindness I have experienced from people in Scotland, and I'm Canadian of Scottish decent. The east coast of Canada (Maritimes) still retains much of the old country norms and values. It's a beautiful thing, isn't it!

Another enjoyable video Steve! Im booked to travel WestJet Dublin to Toronto in April on one of those 737s, I got the flight one way for €155 which is a great price. I do prefer wide bodied on long flights but this price was just too good to ignore and looking at your video, legroom looked fine, and I'm sure flight will be no more uncomfortable than on different carriers. I thought your flights were quite expensive especially the Aberdeen to Gatwick one at £93 but then it seems flights from Ireland these days to most place do seem better value!

Watching you guys walk by the harbour just reminded me of the TV show Republic of Doyle - one I wish they would bring back. It looks like a photographers paradise there - so hopefully one of these days I will get to go see it too.

Steve ,you need to have Alicia in most of your future videos. She is just so much fun,and funny. I know that I would not be very happy with a 5 or 6 hour flight on a 737. Unless it was too good of a price.
