I love knitting socks! I agree with most of the other reviews, a mix of simple and advanced. Love sock patterns with a cute design on the heel flap. Thanks for all you do. Love your channel!

I love the modular constructions! Those are my favorite. And I love the different sections of stitches and textures that keep it interesting.
@JasWongАй бұрын
My absolute favorites were those socks with different textures. I found myself a little nervous because I'd never tried lace, but in this small way able to wrap my head around it, and it worked! The feeling of accomplishment was awesome. As well, there was the "just one more" feeling of it all, which made the project very exciting for me, I found myself wanting to finish just one more section. There's something for everyone in your collection. Those simpler more straightforward designs were lovely palate cleansers, and perfect for taking on the go. I'm looking forward to 2025! Happy Holidays!🎄🎄🎄

Dear Stephen you are one of a kind - and a marvellous teacher, when teaching. I would enjoy a sock with techniques from your The GO GO DYNAMO shawl- especially the big circles and the funny triangles - oh my.... in white and orange colors and maybe a spritz of violet. Thanks.

You’re doing such an amazing job with this year of socks. I’m not sure that I have much to contribute here. I think the designs that I gravitated toward were “beginner friendly” though I’ve been knitting for about 10 years now. ❤

Hello! I really loved this look back on the past year of Westknits socks. The Dancing Droplet socks are definitely on my list, and I have the perfect skein of bright rainbow yarn to knit them with!! I would love to see an eyeball shawl-inspired pair of socks. Stephanie Van Der Linden had a sock pattern called "Grün ist die Hoffnung," which started with a radial lace pattern on the top of the foot. Imagine a pair of socks with an eyeball on the top of the foot!? It would be so cool! I'm looking forward to this coming year's socks!

Love your video’s! Please can you also make a beautiful design in the sock construction toe up fleegle heel. This construction is so very easy to knit. There are a lot of knitters who are afraid for the dutch heel, and the fleegle heel fits very good en is much so much easyer to knit. But you can’t find a lot of designs for such socks.

It's not a sock pattern but I'd love to see a colour popportunity hat. I've got some wool left over from my socks, there might be enough for a matching hat. And, if not, I think there might be some suitable additional yarns in my stash... I was going through some of your patterns a couple of months ago and it occurred to me that the thing that makes a lot of them work as well as they do is your choices of colour combinations.

I knitted my first socks ever with the 2023 surprise sock along. If you can manage DPNs (or a circular needle with a magic loop), you can knit socks, especially with Stephen's tutorials. I've even created my own elf sock pattern (for Christmas decorations & other novelty purposes) since then. So I reckon you should be able to manage some socks, too. Actually, the January pattern doesn't look too difficult at all. Go for it!

It is very intriguing but I am a beginning sock knitter and these are way too advanced for me. I have a huge problem with the holes that form when I "turn the heel" or whatever else it might be called. I have tried to find books to help me with this issue but can not find anything. Would you consider doing something, perhaps just a few lessons, on this issue-trouble shooting sock problems? Or on a variety of "heel" styles and how to incorporate them into any pattern.
@resourcedragonАй бұрын
I have a feeling the Nimble Needles channel might have a video on the topic of the holes when you turn the heel.

The January socks look quite easy - a sort of sock gateway drug. I'm someone who only started sock knitting 18 months ago with the 2023 surprise sock along. I've now got several finished socks, plus a whole lot of novelty mini-socks (but they do involve all the techniques needed to make regular people, top down socks), plus a ball and two hanks of sock yarn plus, um, I'm spinning some sock yarn... So you can definitely do it!

Anything put just textured stitch patterns like the Dustland patterns, that's a bit too boring.
