he makes a lot of mistakes, but his ball winning skills and playmaking are sometimes superb. if he cleans up the mistakes he can be one of the best defensive mids in the world.

He's 23. His development is basically done. What he is now is what he'll remain for the rest of his career, barring injuries. He's pretty good. Important player for the USMNT's core. It's good that he's not complacently coasting along in MLS. But McKennie doesn't have the next-level stuff Pulisic and young Reyna possess.
