A huge thank you goes out to first responders and rescue teams. Despite working flat out, many stayed in the disaster area to help residents remove destroyed possessions in order to speed up the drying process of the affected homes. It appears everyone survived because they used common sense to evacuate safely. Bravo. To state the obvious, my comment is in no way tied to the tragic stories out of Europe. The deadly floods which swept across several European nations was a completly different type of flood catastrophe. Most residents had no time to react as the wall of mud and debris inundated small riverside towns and villages. Cheers!
