I dug this album a lot. The complaints about it sounding the same as Westside's other projects he's dropped this year are understandable, and yeah there were certain moments when I felt like the album was a bit rushed, but for me personally, this is exactly what I expect from him. When it comes to WSG, I'm not really looking to over-analyze every single song like he's Lupe, billy woods or KA. Just give me raw gritty NY shit that I can put on while lifting weights at the gym and I'm all set. I still think Pray for Paris is his more polished, more complete project by comparison. That album should have been his Shady debut imo. Looking forward to the Mt. Marci review whenever ya'll get the chance to review it!

I'm with Myke... listening to Wes just makes me happy, bruh. The whole of GxFR, really. They brought back that HipHop I want... spooky, eerie tracks and soulful loops, with the hardest bars possible. Takes me back to '95, every time. BTW This isn't the "last WSG album"; it's supposedly the next one. He actually could stop releasing solo albums, never expecting to become a rapper. Maybe he'll stick to executive producing - I hope he drops features every now and then, with a mandatory comeback, or _WWCD2,_ down the line. In fact, I heard a rumor about a Just Blaze/Griselda collaboration album.

I like west side but I feel that his projects are way too repetitive. Conway and Benny really impressed me with their albums this year. West side just puts out too much quantity instead of quality in my opinion. Like if I had to listen to all of his songs on shuffle mode, I probably can’t differentiate which albums the songs come from because I find most of the subject matter, and beats too similar all across the board. He’s still dope though. Just not as exciting to me anymore.

I did enjoy this album it's like a 6/10 for me but West gave me too much, he should of let pray for paris breathe and get even more respect. Still alot of great bangers and the story telling track with slick rick was very good. West needs to be more progressive for a major label debut for me. I wanted more knowing it was a shady release.

Ka can take a month to write a verse, WSG takes a week to make a whole album. There's not much care going into his projects anymore imho. At this point he should just retire and focus on the business side of things, cos he's making the same album over & over & over again! Conway and Benny have left him well behind now. And yes WSG was never really meant to be a rapper. But he is dining out on it now. Conway is rapper of the year easily!!!! With arguably project of the year also. F.A.K.T.A.G was fucking flawless. Conway will also go down as one of the best this coming decade and probably ever if he keeps on this tear! This album 4/10

Ka and WSG? This is an apples and oranges comparison. It's a bit unfair to compare both of them considering they follow different approaches to their music. KA is more of a writer/poet who conceptualizes his albums, which is why he takes his time putting out work. WSG, on the other hand, makes music for people like me who dig raw gritty street rap. He's not the best rapper ever, but when it comes to the type of production he curates, he sounds great over them. His formula works.

I'm a fan of Gunn's unconventionality too which is exactly why I was disappointed with this album. Maybe I'm just becoming jaded to his sound, but his quirkiness didn't really surprise me on this project like it has in the past. I'm not understanding how you can be a fan of Westside for being so unorthodox of a character yet praise this album because he didn't step outside the box too much. Those two things seem like opposites to me
