Idk about the crews themselves, but all the top Westside guys operate in north jersey and the BX, and always have.

So the West Side in Jersey are 2 NY Based crews: - Sally "K.O " Larca/Mickey "Hippy" Zanfardino - Anthony Palumbo And one Jersey-based crew that was formerly Tino Fiumara's. Is the crew Tony D oversees the one that Chuckie Tuzzo used to run? What ever happened to the Silvio Devita crew? Is that not the Fiumara crew? Or was the Fiumara crew a splinter group of the old Boiardo/Gerardo/Devita crew? The Feds had Ludwig "Ninny" Bruschi as Capo of a N.J.-based crew in the early 2000s. Was that accurate or was he really connected to one of the other crews and the Feds just mislabeled him as a captain. Did the Manna crew evaporate after Manna went to prison? Whatever happened to the Catena/LaPlaca/Gatto crew? Was it absorbed?

Tino was in laplaca crew and took that and some more territory..there was the old Streaky Gatto crew and his son had taken that crew over…Silvio still runs Boiardo crew and then there was the Horns territory in fort Lee area and bruschi’s territory in south Jersey

Great sourcing, not that black and white. Anthony Palumbo is prob the most powerful guy in Jersey for the Genovese, bc he’s very close to Barney. However, I’m still convinced Daniel Leo is the official boss, bc he was the Acting Boss when Chin died in 2005 and he took over for him, and Barney is the Acting Boss, bc he was the Acting Boss when he went to jail in ‘92, and he stayed the Acting Boss when he got out. Leo was very close to Chin, made a Capo, a former Purple Gang Member, he saved Angelo Prisco’s (a former Purple Gang Member) life when they were convinced he was a rat, and he had told Joey Massino to bump up Michael Mancuso (a former Purple Gang Member) to Underboss, then made helped make him Acting/Official Boss, and this was right before and after Chin died. Also, he’s 83 pushing 84 years old, & Barney is 67, so there’s an age difference and senority difference there too. Barney and Daniel could very well be co-bosses like Ricca and Accardo were, or there could be another “back door” guy that we’ve barely or never heard of who’s pulling the strings. However, I do think Barney and his right hand man Ernie are making the decisions, and Leo is getting an envelope and that’s it. So, yes, Barney is the most powerful mobster in the country, w/ Lorenzo Mannino being a close second, and Mannino is Acting Boss but calling most of the shots, just like Barney.

@ you’re right, Leo got his reigns in there after Massino flipped in 2004, and made sure Mancuso had the ultimate authority over Vinny Basciano, and made sure he continued to have that power when Mancuso was indicted in 2006 & jailed from 2008-2019, shelving Basciano immediately even though they say he wasn’t shelved until 2011, but Mancuso had the power from 2007 until today. And it didn’t matter whether it was Sal Montagna, Tommy DiFiore, Anthony Rabito, or Joe Cammarano Jr., it was all set up for Mancuso, w/ Leo pushing hard for it to happen, whether he was in or out of jail. The only Acting Boss/admin members he could really trust and knew their positions were Joey Spirito Sr., Ernie Aiello, Vinny TV, Bruno Indelicato, Joey Spirito Jr., & Johnny Skyway. This was bc Basciano couldn’t get out of jail, & Mancuso could and had the backing of the Genovese Family thanks to Danny “The Lion” Leo.

They’re known, you just have to be from where those crews are from. They’re very well integrated, so you need to know their actual families.

You missed a crew or two …e.g. the old Boiardo crew is still active and btw, Tony D’s “Uncle”used run that crew …you should do some digging and do a 30 min doc on the Boiardo crew
