On and did you know that this 350 engine has a known catastrophic failure with the timing chain? Google it. Repair costs more than the car is worth and if it fails before repairing, it permanently ruins the engine. ONLY get the ML500 variant. Those don't have that issue

After 2009 balance shaft problem were solved this ml 350 pretty good and relible other mercedes not good and pretty bad carsthis is one of those who really good and very cheap

“The command system doesn’t seem as old as it is” One important aspect he doesn’t mention is the fact of being a 2009 mercedes with no option to to play your own music from your phone, no AUX cable, no bluetooth. The command system is pure garbage

We got sd card slot on audio20 in w164 09... and it works. You can even voice command track change and folder change... not bad if you ask me. Premium edition ml... you can source one and sell the original... or go for aftermarket command sistem.

@@jitterbuba I appreciate your effort, but to be honest, I own a 2009 ML 350 w164 and unfortunately, the command system as I said, is just pure trash even for the time, as there is no bluetooth or AUX to listen to your music on a “premium” Mercedes. The original system won’t be sold for much, and the aftermarket ones give notorious problems (not immediate, but long term problems, mostly related with battery draining). Finding the right and affordable aftermarket system is not a cheap and easy work, which a normal person just won’t be able to do, as only a mechanic or a person who knows can (a small percentage of the population). The voice control system as you mention, is kind of useless, as using it takes ages, and your own cellphone can do the work x5 times faster and much more effective. There is no point of being able to change track when you can’t even plug AUX or connect Bluetooth. This mercedes also has a ton of electronic issues, which is a result of “unintentional” sabotage by Mercedes, something that organizations such as _Right to repair_ are currently trying to fight, hopefully some day they will put an end to it.

@@Artem-sp8rg There is one easy and cheap solution...I have it in my C220... also stock audio20, no aux, no bluetooth, CD doesn't work...you can get a FM-bluetooth transmitter that plugs into 12V cigarette lighter. Just find right frequency on the radio and you can stream from your phone via bloetooth and even charge it at the same time. Works smooth for me.

@@jitterbuba Thanks for trying, but unfortunately this cheap solution is useless for a couple of reasons. *1.* It really is *_too cheap_** for such a **_“premium car”,_* (as you say), the sound quality would be mediocre to say the least. *2.* It would be a shame to have such a crappy sound that entirely relies on *unreliable FM radio frequencies.* *3.* In fact, I already tried and bought one FM Radio-bluetooth transmitter for 4€ on Aliexpress long ago, but this vehicle is so clumsy on its design, that I later realized that *most of the FM-Bluetooth transmitters won’t even fit because of the weird position of the pop-up cigarette/battery supply.* It is really painful for me not to be able to listen to my own music on my car as I used to do before I bought this Mercedes, this is a huge issue and a BIG FAIL from this brand. After about a year, I still haven’t managed to find a suitable solution, and I still don’t have enough money to install an aftermarket touch screen. This will hurt my wallet.

@@Artem-sp8rg Ok... there is another option... you can install aux audio cable on Audio20 unit but you need to take it out. Have you checked your glovebox compartment if there is AUX input already installed? Maybe it is just covered with plastic cap.
