OMG I though I left a comment here but I didn't. So here I am: this is the best Dolores tribute video in youtube. The editing is perfect and the songs... so fitting. Her true core drive is that: beauty. To strive for it and find even the slightest bit of it and then fight for it. "They knew enough of beauty to teach it to us" and that's exactly who Dolores truly is. Someone who shows mercy at the sight of a small act of kindess. And you video captured that showing in a three acts way her character: the background, her possibilites; her worst side and what she's capable of and then... a resolution: all of that, all of that ugliness and disarray that serve a purpose: to disappear at the mere memory of a child discovering the world and a man being kind. Dolores is human after all: ruthless and unforgiving, tender andcaring. You summed that up in less than 6 minutes.

I just realized the irony of how in season 1, William (when he was Billy) was painted as the hero even though we ended up finding out he was a villain. Yet in season 3 Dolores was painted as the villain even though we ended up finding out that she was a hero. I wonder if the writers saw that irony and kind of purposely did it like that, or if it was just a coincidence but either way, it's cool to think about.

Je suis assez vexée que d'autres se présentent comme étant moi devant moi et se deleste de leurs crimes ou leurs indignité en espérant que je les endosse. Puis que la foule soit choqué de leur dislocation. Je suis trop invulnerable pour ne pas avoir tué ceux qui m'aurait transformé en cul pour chien et je suis trop ingénieuse pour dépendre des attaques d'une armée. J'ai jamais eu à me defosser sur des prisonniers de mes exhuberances. Et je suis trop exigente en amour pour vivre sur une réputation que j'aurai volé à quelqu'un. Et je suis énormément vivante. Je ne peux supporter des troubles de personnalité sur des populationsqui s'imaginent que j'existe grâce à eux.. Ni la catégorie esclaves. Sûr qu'il n'y a pas eu de transsexuels ni de bestios autour de moi. Je suis toute seule et je suis assez à la pointe pour comprendre que les populations dominantes de leurs semblables n'ont pas encore sût se prémunir de mon départ signifiant la fin de la pluie et de l'eau et de bien d'autre matériaux que j'ai pu fabriquer. Personne n'a pu faire une nécrologie de ceux qui ot choisi le suicide quand leurs arnaques s'est retournée contre eux et sont devenus insupportables. Ni ceux qui ont succombé à des conflits entre armées ou entre riches. Ou à l'air foncière décision qu'ils sont mieux que moi et plus fort et qui ont pu faire des expériences néfastes. Ou bien ceux qui ont voulu vivre diverses effondrements de planètes où devenir des dieux dans l'espace et qui succombent à l'acidité de l'air intersidéral.

The sad thing about it, is I think Dolores is gone. Even if the actress returns in Season Four, she will not be the same person she once was. I fear that all they are going to do is wipe her memory, reprogram her, and start again like nothing ever happened. Makes me wonder if she was ever really conscious to begin with. She felt so alive, so real, so much like a conscious being in every mannerism and word. But I’m going to just make a guess and say that the show’s writers are going to say that nothing really changed, that she was following orders for Ford just like she once did for Arnold. But just because she wasn’t truly conscious doesn’t mean that the other Hosts are not becoming conscious. Maeve and Bernard, especially, their stories are just beginning.
