He got his throat slit, he is most likely dead but the writers could surprise us. I believe human William still has a role to play in the story, maybe we'll see some kind of redemption for his character. The host Man In Black seems to be pure evil so we won't have the same feeling we had with the original character (but I may be wrong about this). We'll just have to wait and see Season 4 I guess

@@andywang7034 Who wants to see a fucking copy? The great thing about MIB was that he was HUMAN. While the first half of S3 gave him a proper plotline, the second half completely dropped the ball. He broke out of the asylum to do what? Have no influence on the season final whatsoever? Charge into Hale's headquarter all on his own like a moron (even though he supposedly 'had a plan')? To die in a post-credit scene? This is so bad.

He made peace with who he is and became a literal human terminator before he died. Now he "became" a robot, as if his violent urge completely consume him and turn him into a weapon. I'm actually excited lol by the fact he "elevated" to be the modern Yul Brennan killer robot now.

@@Paivren I think he dies there but thats not the end as they probably take his brain and insert it into a host body (host copy of Williams body) and becomes that hybrid William at the end of season 2 where its him but now hes in a host body.

I don't know if he is supposed to be an antihero or antivillian. But in my opinion he is the embodiment of human evil in its purist form. He has played the game for so long; tasted all its flavor, it all becames routine. He does what he does simply because he can. In the end it leads to his downfall and he is none the wiser. In WestWorld he doesn't want to be a God. He wants to be the next best thing, the devil.

Why though. Seems like he developed it, more than he was shedding skin. Hard early stages of life, cut throat corporate ladder riding, and eventually loving Dolores and understanding that Dolores isn't even human, the most real thing he felt was ultimately false, losing his last drop of empathy and identity maybe, trying to feel something by blood and adrenaline only, or exited by searching for meaning.

Seeing Will turn into the man in black was one of the most heartbreaking things to me. Dolores's transition seemed so justified and necessary for her to heal, but it always felt like Will was going backwards.

Personally, it's one of my favorite shows there is out there, so I may be a little biased. It is worth the watch, but you have to be patient with it. It's not an instant gratification type of show; there's a lot of twists and turns and mystery and the answers aren't always obvious at first.
