+ashmeer perreria As far as I know they both use the same glass. The one feature the J series is missing is Gorilla Glass and for that reason it's very easy to scratch and damage it. There's a good range of cases available though so it's down to your own preference on which is best for you. I've not use the Prime version so I couldn't really offer an honest opinion, sorry

Sadly the J5 2017 is missing the notification light, however, you can have the flash to light up (only rear flash as far as I know) when you get messages etc. Go to settings-accessibility-flash notification and it will pulse when you get a notification 👍 not ideal but better than nothing I suppose 👊

+Gino Guillermo Hi Gino thanks for dropping by 👍 interesting questions and I'll try my best to answer them! The iPhone SE is a tremendous amount of phone for the price, however, if you're heavily invested in the Android eco-system then it's all down to whether people are willing to make the switch. Personally as good as I think the phone is, it's diminutive size is a real downside once you've been used to larger displays. As for the G5 Plus, it's an extremely capable device with great specs and the J5 2017 has nothing specs wise to beat it. This said, Samsung has a huge user base of loyal customers and the new J5 has been made with those people in mind. Those who've been rocking an older J series handset will be the main target market for this new version. Brand awareness plays a huge part in a buying decision and it's often the case of better the devil you know than the one you don't. Whether it's worth it is all down to personal opinion and perception so it's a very difficult question to answer. I don't want to spoil it as the price is something I have addressed in my review, but I get where you're coming from here 😉😉 thanks for watching and stay tuned 👊

+Jeev McJeevs Very difficult to say regarding Huawei but being a Chinese manufacturer, their devices tend to be pretty reliable - it's usually the software which suffers most due to fragmentation with Android (although a factory reset tends to cure this). If it's any help, my Galaxy S4 lasted almost 3 years and aside from a new battery (I'm a massive power user so this is understandable!) it was literally like brand new when I sold it on. Therefore I would expect these newer builds to be the same if not better 👍

+SHAKUR AHMED Apologies for any confusion, the A5 has received three software updates since the review which has tidied up the image processing. The photos are by no means bad and will be absolutely fine for daily use, social media etc so please do not worry. The J5 is aimed at the lower end of the market but is still passable, just log as good as the A5 in my eyes. The J7 is something I haven't had any experience with I'm sorry, but I can see there are some reviews on KZbin which may help you make a decision. If it was my money, it would be the A5 as it is a well rounded package which is just so great to use day to day 👍

+Leslie Findley I can vouch in this one. As good as the J5 2017 is, we've just got our eldest son a G5 Plus and I can confirm it is the better of the two for sure. The camera is great on the G5 Plus and easily beats the J5 2017, in addition you get Turbo Charging and more or less stock Android on the G5 Plus 👍 great phone indeed, you won't be disappointed

+sasyed Hi there and thanks for your question, I've not had a chance to use either of those phones I'm sorry, however, the Moto G5 Plus is a great value alternative to both of the phones you mentioned. From what I've seen the Nokia 6 is a great phone but I would have to question the chipset used as the phone has already been on the market outside of Europe for over 6 months now. I'll be getting a review unit once the phone is available so stay tuned for that, however, there are lots of videos on KZbin which showcase both the phones you mentioned, it's about what's important to you and what you need from the phone 👍 is there anything you look for in particular?

Excellent build quality, excellent screen (I wouldn't guess it was just HD) , a descent camera for only €249,00 Of course there are always people who don't care how much they have to pay for just a little bit more "quality". +herman stokbrood You can get a lot of phone for your budget if you import a Chinese model, e.g. the Xiaomi Mi5S is a great phone for under €300. However, there are compromises like the worry of customer support and software updates. I've had several Chinese phones in for review and none of them have had software updates yet - not even security patches! As you will hear in the review (damn I've giving info away now ha ha), the Moto G5 Plus and Wiley Fox Swift 2X are great alternatives for the money, but if you must have Samsung then....well, wait for my review and find out 😁😁😁😁😁😁

I'm no fanboy. So I don't matter as long the phone satisfies me. (I own a Oneplus One now for 3 years) The J5 just stroke me because of the allround package. I like the looks of the J5 over the looks of Moto G5+. For Chinese import I looked at the Zuk z2 pro 6gb/128 just for €230 ex taxes (which may add another €50,00). The mi 5s sure is a great option.

+Sophia G Both the S4 and J5 have 16gb of onboard storage but the difference is that the J5 has a little less bloat, out of the box I had around 9gb of storage available once you take into account what the OS needs. Once all my apps were installed I had about 3gb left so an SD card is an essential from photos, music & videos 👍

+Vineprex What is the issue with the 720p display? I agree the antenna bands spoil the clean lines a bit but this is not so obvious on the black colour. If it's purely the case of the thought of a 720p display then you need to put pixel prejudice aside, as it's really not that noticeable in day to day use and it helps a lot with power management. However, if you're looking for better battery life, a bigger display and more flexibility from the Android eco-system then you can't go wrong 👍 it's more of a sideways step performance wise but still a tremendous phone for the money. Anything else you need just ask 👊

There's also a version with 3GB of RAM - but you're right this version I have here is 2GB. Thanks for pointing out although it's a bit late to change it now 😁

+Mohammad Bilal If IP68 water and dust resistance matters to you and a more compact form factor, then the A3 2017 is the one to go for. However, aside from this the internals are the same (processor and cameras are identical) and if you're not concerned about waterproofing and prefer the bigger display and nicer build - the J5 2017 is a really solid phone 👍

+Drew Smith It can be done but requires some patience - seems like this is the way the market is shifting now. I don't see many phones now with changeable batteries. In fact, the last five or so I've tested have all been sealed unibody 🤔

Yeah so when the battery go's tit's up the phones no good unless you take it apart , them battery's in side are only designed to last so long , if it ant go a removable battery i'm not interested. thanks for the video tho
