I always found it really hard to sleep when the trees are making all that wind noise. If the rain is really heavy it can be exciting but sometimes a bit un nerving too. I guess thats why its such a buzz when you only have a think layer between you and the craziness outside.
@MontyOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't particularly like the trees creaking, but the likelihood of one hitting you is astronomically small. I tree has came falling towards me once and thankfully the tree next to it stopped it. Wasn't pleasant, Susan. It was not pleasant lol. The rain I love, heavier the better! Wind not so much... but I agree with your last statement. It epitomises self reliance if that makes sense? Thank your for the comment Susan, and I hope all is well :)

Wow, small world. I didny realise how local everyone was. I didn't manage to get out tonight but I'll get out again soon hopefully. When I was growing up all our holidays were camping in a big orange frame tent with my sisters and parents. I never appreciated until now the effort my dad went to, dragging it up hills all over Scotland and doing several trips back and forth to the car to get us all set up. I struggle with a heavy backpack lol. I'm sure the woman and weins will come when you're ready, but be carefull what you wish for. That's how I'm no gettin oot! ;(

@@briancampbell3959 I was in Airdrie, but moving to Cumbernauld. Your Da would take you up the hills and go back to the car to collect more? Serious effort although my mate's have done similar. Nice vid no swearing in it, I like that, I was looking to buy the same tent as you but could not get one delivered to canada, so I went with the robens starlight 1 it turned out to be a nice little tent, kinda snug but I'm happy with it so far , tested it twice in -26c and then once in -14c
@MontyOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
As much as I love swearing - I'm Scottish lol - I hate including them in my videos. It just doesn't come across well on a public channel and shows zero concern for others. If you've seen my other videos I tell people off and myself when we swear/slip up 😂. Yeah, the Robens would be a better purchase. I think it's more like the Nevis, but they are similar. Is the Starlight got two poles at the bottom rather than a hoop? My mate has it, it's a great wee tent and he's had it out in the wind. Jealous of those temps, mate. Coldest we generally experience is a chilly -2 to -8. Thanks for the comment 😄
