Okay I just started to get this kind of tea I haven't had it yet because I just got it I don't know how to store it or anything like that but I would like to know if there's any tea to get me out of diabetes I presently make tea in a coffee maker and mix different kinds of herbal teas together

There may be herbs that could help with diabetes, but you would have to consult a doctor or herbalist for that. The best we can offer is prayers and wishes for your health and happiness. If you do want to enjoy tea more often, a teapot could be a great next step.

Fascinating information, I had never heard the eras explained so clearly, thank you! I appreciate your knowledge. After reviewing both featured teas, I am curious as to the dramatic price difference between them? $100/cake vs $425/cake is quite a significant difference. Is The Crane a better quality due to the “dry” storage? Oh, now I see you sweets my question! Brilliant!

Having a vintage is a big deal. It is NOT quality. It is about a certain date/production place/etc. The Purple Sky's date is rough, production methods, standards, etc are all up for grabs. The Crane is all dialed in and known, so worth a lot more. But cost to quality Purple Sky is a way better deal...

AS these replica cakes have since fallen out of fashion, the good ones are a real steal. (There are many bad ones to sort through---more bad than good, in fact), which is why we are attracted to them, especially considering the price of aged puerh is so drastically inflated and overpriced.

@@globalteahut sweet! Being a fan of Shou Puerh I’m always looking for a good addition to my collection. I only with I could buy a tong! But maybe a cake? I’m in the pacific NW in the US so I’m guessing that would be considered a WET location for storing? Thanks for the response!

@@Artzenflowers Also note the 100$ is a special deal due to the fact that these cakes were partially-donated to us and we passed the savings along. In reality, the market price would be closer to 150-200, but still half the cost of the Xiaguan with a vintage, which means certified year, etc... So if you like the Purple Sky, you are in business!

Is there anything to be said about temperature in regards to storing puerh? Is it ok for temperatures to fluctuate or is it better kept at a steady temperature? How important is this factor?
@globalteahut3 жыл бұрын
One answer is that everything is a factor. It depends how deep we want to explore :) Slow and natural fluctuations throughout the year are okay and result in different, not better or worse, tea (the difference between Malaysia and Taiwan storage for example). But short-term fluctuations (daily/weekly) will not be good for the tea.

I would say extremes can ruin tea , everything else will influence tea , but that influence can be very noticeable If you keep tea in a very cold dry environment the microbes may die out completely , if tea drys out completely leaves may start cracking In a warm humid environment microbial activity increases, rapidly aging tea , if humidity goes above high 80% for weeks on end and water is condensing on your walls you can get mold on your tongs /cakes , which also can ruin tea

Thank you for the video with great information! I think it would be better if there were subtitles.

You can actually turn on subtitles for any video on youtube. Just click on the Subtitles/Closed Captions button in the bottom right corner of the video (the icon that looks like CC). If you want to change the language of the subtitles then click on the Settings icon right next to it after you have turned on the subtitles and change the subtitle language to anything you want.
