To judge from the live videos I've seen: When Wet Leg started making a bit of money, the main thing Rhian did with her share was to buy a selection of cool stage outfits, and she sometimes managed to drag Hester to the store along with her.

I've been clicking on ticket sales for Edinburgh from their website for months, I even went to the venue to ask. I now find that they posted the wrong link and it is sold out. They must have shit management because they are playing a tiny venue when they could be selling out a far bigger place.

Contracts for gigs are signed many months in advance. It could be that this gig was booked before they ‘hit’ and they have to honour the contract…or get sued.

It's a gimmick. The band are industry plants. The blonde girl didn't even own a guitar before the band were formed. The whole thing is a marketing excercise. Very basic guitar playing that has now superceded their popularity, putting them under huge pressure. I'd like to see them do a gig without the recording contracted session heads, who clearly carry the girls. Their Spotify playlist was deleted to make the gullible fans believe the band came from nothing. Like at the money being pumped into their marketing at the moment. They have to pay all of it back. They ate gigging nonstop at the moment and will likely burn out. Fender endorses the guitars, hence the different guitars per gig. That's another indication of the "new guitarist". Serious players normally stick to one or two instruments that they have mastered over years. Not the case here. Ever wonder why they continuously turn their backs to the crown when playing? Watch what the session heads are doing. Plus, the pressurised concentration while playing the simplest of notes. It's a faze. An Emperors clothes situation. Shoved into the newsfeeds of gullible teens in order to sell guitars and to pay back the costs of the marketing. The music industry is not all its cracked up to be. Putting two girls from well-off backgrounds on stage and implying that the years of hard graft and constant practice on their guitars does nothing for the thousands of struggling female musicians from less well-off backgrounds who will never have an opportunity to get their music out there. It's a very white, well bred, manufactured industry plant band, aimed at an audience of well-off, white teens who's families can afford to buy the guitars that hang around the necks of two mediocre musicians.
