Reading these comments, it's clear the music snobs and, cynics are out in force. Be happy with the music you're into, and don't spread unnecessary negativity. Remember, you have just as much musical taste credibilit as a toddler who can't get enough of the Thomas the Tank Engine theme. We all like what we like. Don't be dicks. 👍

@@TheMusicalElitist If it's not constructive, you're just being petty and small-minded. Fair enough you don't like something - there's plenty of things I don't like. But I don't go on an artist's work, and lambast. The only reason someone does that is to upset fans, which is unnecessary and anti-social. I won't be quiet because vitriol spewing people have done enough to cause upset and create division between people. Then, you wonder why people respond. If anyone should be quiet, it's you. If you cannot write or say anything constructive or positive, don't say anything. Do better.

Ok, a lot of old men referring to old artists and old times when evaluating Wet Leg to find ways to criticize the band and all the hype. A lot of criticism just because the girls "get all the attention"...c'mon. Old white men missing the good ol' days when they were the cool thing and patriarchy was the normal thing..Go watch some Eric Clapton videos instead. This band deserves the hype, if people are listening to their songs is because people likes it, That's all you need to know. Honestly I was not expecting to see an alternative rock band in 2022 making it on the charts..great surprise.

Spot on. Wet Leg are fresh and fun. So many 'music snobs' have such an inflated sense of their music authority, that they've deluded themselves into thinking they can willy nilly spew their opinions come what may. People can criticise, but make it constructive.

I then wonder why people get so worked up about making my opinion, when I provide nothing constructive. Why are people so negative about my negative outlook? But I'm a music snob, and know much more then them." Yours sincerely, Typical Contrarian Music Bore.

Wet Leg are a perfectly decent band. If they'd been around in 2004 or 1995, we'd have forgotten about them within a few weeks. But we live in a cultural fucking desert now, so they're being hailed as something incredible and game-changing. In reality, they're fine. I'd definitely accompany someone to one of their gigs, but I wouldn't go on my own.
