Wet Leg are a perfectly decent band. If they'd been around in 2004 or 1995, we'd have forgotten about them within a few weeks. But we live in a cultural fucking desert now, so they're being hailed as something incredible and game-changing. In reality, they're fine. I'd definitely accompany someone to one of their gigs, but I wouldn't go on my own.

I think it's because he fits an (indie) rock vibe so well, but has turned to fairly common pop music tunes now. But when he covers stuff the fun comes back. I think on the more rock and folk leaning songs of his first album his voice sounded better.
