Love this. I truly wish I could have done cae stuff with my Pops but he always had to be the Boss and I didn't know anything lol but always called me to come do all of his auto repairs and sent friends tome but he would never tell me I was good at it. Lost him when I was 28 he's missed everyday eve if just to argue with him again. Keep working with Pops allyou can.

Came out sweet! Those bubbles are basically tack welds from the quarter being over lapped the factory 1/4 panel just the nature of the beast when there’s a budget involved
@glennshotrodgarage550927 күн бұрын
Oh yeah painting a dumpster with house paint lmao!
@glennshotrodgarage550927 күн бұрын
That will always come back if it’s not fully welded because it is a uni body car if you blended (float) down from where the body line is with duraglass where you held your fingers on the 1/4 panel it would give it a fair shot at not coming back…….

Those blisters down the side of the quarter panel is why you always install a full quarter and not a skin. They always fail along that weld line. People don't realize it's actually cheaper to just fix the car correctly than to keep patching and spot repairing!

There was never any trim at the top and the spots you are seeing was shitty butt welding and I’ll bet all they did was spot weld every few inches and either bondo or fiberglass patch the seams together. For a driver, she should be very happy. And again, for the record, you did an amazing job!
