Really appreciate these tea videos. I'm a newbie to loose tea and puerh and the vids have been a god send for figuring it all out! Some of the other tea-tubers spend way too long explaining things but you do it in a decent format within a nice time frame. Concise and to the point. That could totally be my ADHD brain at work...lol

Thanks for watching! I also like concise and simple. glad you enjoyed them. The livestreams are much longer but all the main videos are short,

Interesting comparison. I tend to like dry storage more than wet storage.

Great video and comparison, i have always have a fascination towards Puer, but unfortunately due to insufficient funds and the small local puer market where i'm from, it has been hard to do comparisons like this.

Very interesting video. How humid would you say was the storage of each tea?

I can give rough estimates based on the location but I did not have humidity gauges testing year round. In Taichung, Taiwan, the highest average humidity typically occurs in July, with levels reaching around 85%. The lowest average humidity is usually observed in December, dropping to around 70%. In Pasadena, California, the highest average humidity generally occurs in December, with levels ranging from 60% to 70%. The lowest average humidity is usually experienced in July and August, ranging from 40% to 50%.

Hello, I am fairly new to Pu-erh Tea and recently purchased some aged raw cakes. Which I found to be incredibly moldy tasting. And not pleasant at all. Hints of honeyed apricots, etc. Are all useless descriptors if mold is the dominant profile. IMHO. Why is mold always left out of the description/ conversation? I feel duped! And disappointed that I wasted my money.

It sounds like you may have had a bad experience with an aging process that wasn't controlled. Mold can be a serious issue and is not addressed often enough unfortunately. You want teas without mold, of course.
