I'd love to see tie down methods for highway travel.

The trick is to secure the boat to the trolley and the trolley to the trailer. Never tie the boat directly to the trailer as it puts undue stress on the trolley and all road impacts are transmitted directly to the boat. Once the amas are on the trolley, coil the shrouds on top of each tramp so they won't come undone and pass the mainsheet over the top of the tramps and through the middle of the coils then hook it to the mast step bar (or to the cunningham hook if you need extra length). Tighten the mainsheet and cleat it so that the amas are held securely - check the arms aren't snagging the boat or each other - add padding or move them around until they are clear. Then winch the trolley and boat onto the trailer and secure it at the bow so that it is held secure (e.g. with a chain or retaining bolt) such that some vertical movement is allowed at the stern to enable the trolley wheels to help absorb road impacts. Then tie a loop of rope around the axle at either side and tie the end of the rope to the rear corner of the trailer - use a truckers hitch to get some tension. If you are travelling long distance, you may want to add some webbing straps that go around each ama and over the top of the boat (under the tramps at the stern) - with some padding underneath the strap, especially at the gunwales. This setup allows both the trolley tyres and trailer suspension to absorb impacts with some give in the structure reducing damage to the trolley or hull.
