I've driven through Wetaskiwin many times on the way to Camrose. It really is a shame that the city has gotten worse. I feel for the people that live there. A lot of controversy over the Hope Shelter. Nobody seems to know what to do about the problem. The solution is not an easy one.

Hello, I live in Wetaskiwin and this video is a complete nonsense from somebody who doesn't live here and this person is just looking for attention and gave this video an ugly title so that people watch it. The Alberta unemployment rate in 2024 is 6.2% which is fairly low and yes here is a serious labor shortage for all those guys who think this is a hoax it's not. Check out the Canadian Job Bank and you will see for example there are about 5000 jobs advertised for Light Duty Cleaners etc.
@livinginalbertanow7 ай бұрын
It is all backed by facts from statistics Alberta and RCMP database. In addition, there is a declining population as people exit the community, leaving an aging population behind. Please refer to the University of Alberta and University of Calgary study on the area. You can also simply check out downtown. It is slowly dying, or you can simply check out real estate listings to see how many people are exiting the community.
