Drift theory was one spot out of my list. I almost put it in anyway, but I’d already snuck in a 10th since I felt I just couldn’t leave Aquarius Earth out. Still such a great expansion :)

Cool video! It looks like you dropped Borough Chops from last year and added Bazzazian and Rare Vibrations, it would be fun to hear the reasoning - was it just different year musically for you or was it driven by something else? I am a newbie about to get a Maschine+ and have a lot of decisions to make.

Yo! I dropped one other as well. For me it just comes down to trying to give people a diverse look. For instance, other than in the Lofi category I tried not to do too many in a single vibe. The other factor just comes down to what I’m using the most at the time. I think a big part of the value in expansions is how well they age. That’s why Aquarius Earth always makes it, because it just always stays relevant. Honestly 9 or 10 on a list just isn’t enough though because I regularly use quite a few more. Hope that explains it. :) thanks for watching!

Hello, I'm new to machine plus. I can’t install expansions on the device, I don’t understand how it works. An expansion purchased and added to ni access (for example, Polar Flare) does not displayed in the library on the device. Trying to download and rescan to an SD card does not bring success - only one shot works in user plugins. Is there any installation guide on the device? Need help.

Yo. You load them in via the settings menu. You'll see sll of your purchases and then the ones you select downlosd straight to the deviad via wifi. Hope they helps!

@@BeauTylerMakesMusic looking at you video I’ve totally missed a function that Maschine can do. You were manipulating the audio in real time similar to what I’ve seen people do with the Roland Sp404. Do you have a video that show this function. Last night I pulled my Maschine out of retirement. I’ve been using the expansions on another standalone device M**. Now I’m reconsidering getting a plus 🤔🤔

I bought maschine, battery and a bunch of expansions last year and never use them. It was too steep of a learning curve and I find the interfaces to be terrible making what should be simple tasks complicated. But the worst part for me is the fact that none of these are key labeled or key labeled properly so it's up to me to try to figure out - usually by converting to wav files to midi and analyzing in my own crude way. If I'm working in a song in E minor and I want to add something from an expansion it's hopeless. Any suggestions?

Use your ear and learn How to tune and Explore different key and What sounds good togheter… find a sample you like and open a group with an instrument and play try different keys and scales …

Thanks for the video Beau ! I won't lie 2023 has been a pretty disappointing year in terms of NI expansions released. 2022 was just crazy but 2023 was..."ok but" so it's pretty difficult to be hyped by the sale this year.

@@BeauTylerMakesMusic I do thanks. Hope you too. Rare Vibrations is definitely on of the expansion I’d like to get but since I purchased most of the 2022 and 2023 thanks to 9 for 99 only a few are interesting. I will think about it because it the best way to get expansions anyway
