Studio One is the goat brother. You’re doing the right thing! 😂 I use Maschine as a plugin inside SO now to make my beats. It’s super simple. Also, in the future if you want to layer sounds to play the exact same thing, you can drag and drop a 2nd plugin on the track. It’ll ask you if you want to combine or replace the plugins. Super duper cool stuff.

You jumped right in there and made it look easy and really dig the bounce, atmo, and chord progression you used... especially on the second half of that loop. I'm also a Studio One user (version 4 Pro) and pretty confident that you will really love it once you have some time with it.

When ur daughter came in, it was right on time. Freaked me out. I'm listening on an Eris 8 through a Studio 26C interface. I have Studio one (as a toy, tbh) and will receive my Atom tomorro 2nd hand! I use Studio One for fun, as it's great fun. I'm not pro.

Presonus makes very capable tools very accessable. My experience with their tech support has been great too. It's not a bad way to go - I got a 2626 with studio one 5 and will not need much else for years to come.

VERY COOL. Yes I’ve had quite a few PreSonus products over the years and have never had any issues. I haven’t needed tech support which is awesome, but good to know about their quality of service. Tell me more about the 2626. I don’t know what that is.

10 year logic user here who moved to Studio One a year ago. Very smooth transition. They speak the same language conseptualy. Lot's of smooth and intuative functionality in S1 that I find to be a cut above Logic. A handful of things logic does a bit better. Ultimately I'm very happy and for my workflow, S1>Logic

Thanks so much! I’m still definitely much more proficient in Logic, just because I’ve been using it for 13 years or so. Studio One has some sort of allure to me though. It keeps pulling me in for projects. I just love figuring out all of its little hidden features. Eventually I’ll be solid enough with it to start making more content with it. Until then I’m just scared to put out content with it because I don’t want to get caught with my pants down on something. Lol thanks for the love, homie.

Well Logic is still amazing so don’t think you have to switch. StudioOne is awesome though. Because when I produce bigger projects, the engineers usually handle the controls, which means it’s good for me to know as many daws as possible so I can communicate better with them. If you want to switch though, go for it. Both are super dope. :)

Studio One is the only daw I've tried as I only got into this stuff a year ago. I can say that the user intuitive graphical UI and drag and drop simplicity is something that I appreciate very much! I've been on Studio One prime for a year now 😂 Perfect training ground! Time to get that revelator mic with Artist for free. First week with the Maschine Mk3. If I was stranded on a desert 🏝 island. 🤔Or maybe I'd need the + to do that! Here's hoping you might show some maschine+ maschine2 and studio one 6 combo workflow in the future. Do you drag and drop elements from maschine2 to S1 or run it as a vst inside S1. Is there a big cpu hit on either method? Noob rhetorical Q's. Enjoying the content so much TY, my TVs in the trash. Finally, your NI S kb controller is something I'm envious of! GoatFire! 🐐🔥 Keep it up, TY and happy holidays to you and yours brother! ❄️ 🎄

You mentioned something about a “choke group” I’ve seen the “choke” option in studio one but I have no idea what it’s for. What is that?
@BeauTylerMakesMusic
@BeauTylerMakesMusic Жыл бұрын
Yo. It means that one sound will cut another off. So for instance, if you had your open hat and closed hi hat in the same choke group, whenever you hit the open hat a closed hat would “choke” it just like a real drum set. :) Hope I explained that well enough.

I assure you that no one coached me. It’s not really “real time” though. This filming session took about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. It’s edited down to be watchable and hopefully entertaining. Still 2 1/2 or 3 hours really surprised me with how navigable it was.

Yo. No switch. Just another tool to use. I already use ProTools, Logic, and Maschine. I’m passable with Ableton but not a pro with it. I’ve been eyeing Studio One for a few years though because it seems to have a super speedy workflow. It definitely didn’t disappoint. As for the DAW. Sweetwater sent it to me via the people at PreSonus. They just asked me to check it out. I dug it and was pumped to make a video. :) You Studio One people have been so nice. Seems like an awesome community!
@BeauTylerMakesMusic

And just realized I didn’t actually answer the why. The reason I always want to learn as many DAWs as possible is so that when I produce the act I can communicate effectively to the engineer despite which DAW they’re using. :)
