Great bit of driving. Particular impressed by the crew not going over-the-top with the sirens and panicking other drivers when they come to a bit of a stalemate. Hi mate. The other fire station they pass on this run is the old (now closed) Weymouth fire station. The new replacement station at the video's start point is quite a considerable way out of town, as can be realised when you see that it takes this fire engine over three minutes to get there.

Odd route - but I guess the road "improvement" at the end of Buxton road means even emergency services have to go all around the houses to get to the south of Brewers Quay these days. Used to be far quicker and less junctions by going straight on at Alf's Chip Shop, up over Lanehouse, down Buxton Road then right onto Portland Road and left at the lights. I struggle with the use of the term "Improvement" in the phrase "Road Improvement" as it adds half a mile and lots of extra junctions.

Maybe if they played these more at schools, teaching youngsters not to prank call, it would have a better effect than just telling them not to and why, i mean all young people see if the firefighters arrive, thats their buzz, but perhaps if a few saw the actual drive, the things they go through to get to the destination, i dunno, why not? It cant do any damage and may help.

It would be nice if we all moved over for the emergency vehicles ,but if you do and there is an accident you will be held responsible for the accident, and it does not mean you brake the speed limit as well. All 3 services have to drive to the laws of the country and if they get caught speeding they have to answer to the courts just like us,so do not think you have the right to mount the pavement to let them pass for you can get charged for parking on it ,and never let them bully you for you could be the next accident there is no law on the books that say you must move and they same goes with the Highway Code .
