WF 2830 Sublimation Printing Setup

I can only get thr network selection to show up but not USB.. i tried 2 cords now..not sure what I'm doing wrong

Try this: First go to your printers home screen and arrow up and over to your WIFI settings. Select "Wi-Fi (Recommended)". Then, arrow down to "Change Settings". Then arrow down to "Others". Then finally arrow down to "Disable Wi-Fi" In windows, Go to settings in your start menu > Printers & Scanners and search for your printer. Click on it and then click "Remove Device". Once removed, Go back to Epsons website to redownload the Driver. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE "Drivers and Utilities Combo Package Installer". Instead, download the "Printer Driver" in the "Drivers" sub menu. Open the Driver that you just downloaded and install it. Once its finished, try running the firmware updater again, you should see your USB connection. Once the firmware is installed, You can go back to your Printers home screen and re enable your WIFI. Good luck!

Tried installing the chipless firmware update via USB but every time I try the update gets stuck at 71%. The printer cycles on and off but doesn’t go further than 71%.

I have gotten to the part where I connect the USB cord and it reads my printer, but everytime I click Start, it ends up freezing and I need to force close it - Only thing I know different is i did take out the original ink - does that have to be in there while this is doing it?

I need help. I did these steps and it kept telling me that I need to refill my ink because it’s empty 😢 I bought brand new regular ink and change the chip but still

my printer keeps saying update and now its not even printing correctly from my computer ( shows horizontal lines) but when i do it from the app on my phone it prints with no problems should I factory reset? if so will it work since i dont have the original ink cartridges ?

Your videos are so amazing and greatly appreciated. I am a lifetime subscriber. I do however am having trouble with the colors matching. My cyan is coming out more of a baby blue and the yellow darker. Any tips? Thank you!

How many I convert my 2830 without having a computer Cause my laptop keeps shutting down and then takes hours to turn back on I don't know what wrong with it

What if you don't have the original cartridges to set up the printer, how do I get the printer set up?

You should be able to set it up with any cartridges that the printer will read, including 3rd party cartridges.

You video was excellent and everything worked right with the initialization and firmware. I did it with the original and switched over. I am now having trouble with getting the colors to print black is fine but others not so much when I did a purge print. Any suggestions?

Sure..just make sure that cartridges are primed and that the vent plugs are removed from the refill cartridges so that the ink can flow.

Do you have to do the chipless software if you transfer the manufacture chips on to the sublimation cartridges?

No, but the manufacturer chips are one time use chips. So every time the read empty youd have to source new chips. Chipless firmware cost less than a set of cartridges, and its good for the life of the printer.

You could change chips out every time. But the chipless firmware is less than a set of cartridges.

Do you have to run the initialization with the original ink? Will it hurt the sub ink once it is started?

If it's a new printer it will want to do an initialization with the original ink. You can use the original to start it up, and then switch to sub ink once you install the firmware.
