Hey mate, good video. What were your best and worst groups from it? Cheers,Joel
@varagner8 жыл бұрын
+Joel Nickels Wouldn't be able to tell you the worst group as I generally just look at them shrug and go that is shithouse. Worst would be from the Barnual steel case 55gr sp ammo. The rifle does not like that round. The best group would be a 5 shot group at 100 meters that measured 22.51mm from edge to edge. Using center to center that is a 0.5779 MOA group which is excellent accuracy in my books. That was shot using Aussie Outback 69gr SMK ammo.
@MsSonofmacca8 жыл бұрын
they say you can't use reloads??
@varagner8 жыл бұрын
Almost every manual for a gun states you can't use reloads. It is a legal mater so if you blow the gun up with a dodgy handload then the warranty is void. From a practical perspective handloads work just fine.

LoL over 3k for what exactly? They use a off the shelf barrel, modify lucky 13 chassis and magpul products. Rather buy a tikka t3x a1 for same price
@varagner5 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to read about your severe brain damage. They don't use a lucky 13 chassis nor do they modify Magpul products. They dont use an off the shelf barrel as no one makes barrels for these in Aus other then Warwicks.
@rowanbirch86245 жыл бұрын
Lucky13 wishes they made decent quality gear like this. Smoothbrain.
@bilko38235 жыл бұрын
@@varagner also sorry for your reading skills. Chassis looks very similar to lucky 13. They use magpul products. Very doubtful that they make their own barrels. If pricing was reasonable i wouldn't comment. Ive owned straight pull shotguns and rifles before and all having same issues with jamming. Even on the video seen it a few times. Just my opinion. I wish warwick firearms the very best

Hey mate, my rifle is still a couple of months away, just curious on what the trigger is like?
@varagner8 жыл бұрын
Minimal creep and not overly stiff has very little overtravel as well. Not super lightweight either though so suitable for field use. A good all round trigger in my view.

what foregrip do you use? also can i order that MAGPUL at any firearms shop
@varagner8 жыл бұрын
These days I am just running a bipod and some Magpul XTM rail covers on the forend, works fairly well when out hunting. The Magpul stocks can be a bit hard to get in Aus, sometimes you can get them from overseas (but be very careful of airsoft knockoffs here), or Cleaver Firearms in Brisbane has a decent range.
@hellfireblack18 жыл бұрын
was there a long wait to get the wfa1? how long is the range at metro?
@varagner8 жыл бұрын
I was on a initial interest pre-order list years before Warwicks had even started producing the rifles. It took about 2 years from when I contacted Warwicks about going on the pre order list to when I had my rifle in hand. The current wait on the rifles from my understanding is going to be fairly long for new orders, but it is a wait I feel was well worth it.

your laws suck and this is comming from the UK alteast we can own AR1-5S straight pull in all centre fire calibers and semi auto in .22 rim fire and semi auto /pump shotguns self defence is allowed if its resonable force and N.I is the only country in the union that has CCW on a may issue ! but on uk mainland we cant have handguns - that were you lot have it better
@varagner6 жыл бұрын
UK certainly has advantages, especially with semiauto/pump shotguns and rimfires, though the ammunition limits over their are certainly strange. I have over 20 firearms on my licenses (a fair few handguns and a few semi auto rimfire rifles) and well over 10000 rounds of ammunition at any point in time. The restriction on the use of my semi auto rifles are fairly infuriating though. Self defence here is much the same as the UK, lethal force only justified against a reasonable fear of death or grievous bodily harm sort of deal. CCW is an interesting one in Aus, officially it doesn't exist. But if you have the right political connections and some degree of justification it can come in the form of an exemption from the relevant act. Not at all well know by the broader public but I do know a bloke who managed to get the exemption and CCWs a Beretta Brigadier every day.
