Evan doesn’t speak for us as nets fans. The Knicks and nets are not a historic rival. Their relationship is like the jets and giants. Evan just has an obsession with the Knicks. THe Knicks offered us a great package and 99% of nets fans are happy. Not accepting that so you can “own the Knicks” is just dumb.

Completely agree. The Knicks got their guy, the Nets got an absolute haul, AND their picks back from Houston. The Nets weren't sniffing success in the next few years with Bridges. Now they have a OC-level warchest to improve over the next 5+ years. This was the best day in Nets history since FA 2019

Yeah if those teammates also won 2 national championships and then all independently establish themselves as quality NBA players on different teams for a couple years before they re-unite them. It’s a shame that Evan doesn’t work with Joe anymore. As happy as I am with this trade, as I’m sure Joe is, he still would’ve been sympathetic to Evan’s plight as a lifelong Mets fan who had to watch Doc and Coney pitch a no hitter and a perfect game and see Darryl have success as they all won rings with the Yankees. Nets and Knicks are like the Cubs and the White Sox. In city rivals and ACTUAL rivals are two different things. Why are Yankees/Red Sox or Bears/Packers rivals? It’s not just geographic proximity. In the same division. Meaningful games. Players who hate each other. Fans who hate each other. As a Cubs fan, the Cardinals are a WAY bigger rival than the White Sox.
