The Giants need to fire Joe Schoen. If John Mara wants continuity, he should promote Brandon Brown and consider his vision for the franchise. If not, it’s time to clean house from top to bottom and hire a third-party firm to lead the hiring process-Mara hasn’t gotten it right since Jerry Reese. Looking ahead, Shedeur Sanders could be the quarterback to restore this franchise and reignite excitement in New York. It’s time for real change.

Promote Brandon Brown if you’re promoting Joe Schoen. Elway and Arians got similar firings via promotion. A higher paycheck and different angle from which to continue the rebuild, but he will need to cede the seat. If Schoen’s fired, Brown’s not staying. He’s too smart to be the next scapegoat in two years. Fire them both, and enjoy Dennis Hickey as GM and Anthony Lynn as HC.

Mara, in fact has never gotten it "right". Acorsi's fingerprints were on those teams. The Super Bowl 46 winning team vastly overachieved and the GM did not properly evaluate that team after all was said and done. Mara has been a total failure when hiring coaches and GM's. The only hope for the Giants franchise & fanbase is that he sells the team, which is not going to occur. The Giants will never have any sort of long term success with Mara leading the way at owner. This is clear as day. Yes, a blind squirrel will eventually find a nut and they may run into a random playoff berth here & there like they did in Dabolls 1st season, but thats about it. If 2-15 is their eventual record, Daboll & Schoen cannot be brought back. That would be 12 straight losses. You cannot justify bringing back either of them with that type of finish.

@ When you fire them, you have no right to complain when Dennis Hickey is promoted to GM and your next head coach finalists are Anthony Lynn, Brandon Staley, Arthur Smith, and Mike Zimmer. Don’t expect anyone good to come here, and don’t expect Brandon Brown to willingly stay and volunteer to be the next scapegoat in two years. Like it or not, Mara played a role in 42 and 46. Go see how many rings the other New York owners have won outside of the the Steinbrenners.
