@@GERAT023 Well, the SP had less pen when this was new vs today, so did most tier 8 guns. T32 had sub 200mm etc. Today? Less so. So it's not as strong as it once was in a -0 MM as balance caught up with it. That and face a platoon of Skodas and they will tone you down fast.

Oh, Obj 268/5, Already own it and arguably my favourite tank along with JPZ. They at least were able to make me have fun in this game, which seems like the most difficult achievement these days. [edit]: I got it from the credit-offer, which was the second iteration yes.

The WZ-114 frontal turret is a heat trap (minus the cupola) to most HEAT shells.

It's quite easy to get auto ricochet in the su-100-y just by wiggling as they shoot. It is often the difference that makes a 3rd shot possible.

Chieftain/T95 is quite expensive as a tier 8 medium, especialy when you compared to "Defender"/obj252U as a heavy

A few years ago I was offered either the SU 100Y or the AT15A. I took the AT and it turned out to be a good credit maker. However, it's low alpha of 150 with only 171mm of pen left it lacking at tier 7. Now compare that with the SU's 440 alpha with 196mm of pen at TIER SIX! Of course there's a huge difference in armor, but I'm thinking I need to add another tier 6 tank destroyer to my garage now!

Picked up the 268v5 and its an absolute blast, dont regret it at all!! Had a 6.6k dmg game in it, 10 games and 3.3k average dmg. 15k bonds well spent imo, was saving it for the concept but after last season i cant be bothered to grind it and loving this tank so far

252u is once my fav. The frustration of not hitting the shots are compensated by living punishments. Especially in down tiers. For new players, dealing damage comes second, surviving comes first.

I really enjoy two tanks from this list. The SU is alot of fun and was one of my first 3 marks. Not the best - but fun to play. Same goes for the second tank, Obj 268v5. Like you said yourself, it might be mediocre but having this fully rotatable turret with 750 alpha is so nice. You could say it's a T30 in tier10. Tier for tier, I'd say the T30 is better tho.

it's a true pain tank. its pretty much caliban gun handling but none of the dopamine caliban can do. like 0.33 Dispersion factors ON EVERYTHING. even when just little adjustment when aiming will set you back few seconds. it can have good games but imo its the worst tank on tier 9 by far. 1650 dpm does not help. Sometimes you just feel like you are just 2400 hp box on tracks with no gun on the map.

dont. its not worth it. im saying this as someone that grinded the event to get it for free. it was the biggest let down in my whole WoT history. the tank is obscenely slow. the armor is good but the weak spots make it almost impossible to use, the gun is TE-RRI-BLE i cant use enogh words to describe to you how god awful the gun handling is. and if you think fighting people up close solves the problem ur more than mistaken, people can run circles on you, the gun disperson can miss shets even if ur face hugging, im not joking, the tank is BAD. i dont know if wargaming wanted to create a sniper heavy tank, given that the tier 10 114 is a TD and the tier 9 114 is a HT... or what the hell went throigh their head, but its all sorts of wrong. on paper wargaming made the tank seem manageable at first look. but im telling you brother, dont fall for it. its a trap.

The new BZ heavy line have a lot worse gun than obj252. Belive me, I love Defender, but BZ is a real pain. I use both vertical stabilicer and Enhanced gun laying drive, that feels better, but in BZ there is no combo that works! I have also K-2 which is very similar to 252 but slower, still feels better than BZ tanks. I wouldnt recommend turbo in 252 but I do on K-2 and maybe BZ, its better to choose ventilation or rammer instead. I have 10 years playing and still a noob :D

Think of it this way. It's the hull of the T-10 with the gun of the Object 268 but a little bit worse gun handling but it has a turret. Those 5° of gun depression can drive you mad though. Honestly, I feel the chinese TD is better but this one has tier X gun while the other is rather a tier 9.5

i think the Chieftain T95 is a little worse than Renegade, smaller gun but faster shoooting. it kinda varies. Both have a Tumor. Great video info both have pros & cons

I bought the 252 back then, been collecting dust for a long time now. The gun handling is atrocious. Yes it has armor but guns are mega accurate these days, you get cupola sniped all the time (especially in close combat, where you have a slight hope of hitting something)

I used to have the 252u but I ended up trading it in because I never used it. the main selling point, the armor, is overrated. t8 can pen your lower plate easily with gold, the commander hatches are larger than whats typical for something Russian, and t9 can just pen you right in the face. mobility is pretty bad, the gun handling is awful, and dpm is abysmal. So why would I play that when I can play my paragrine? It may have slightly worse armor (better turret tho imo) but the gun handling and mobility is about the same and you get a really nice auto reloader for dedicating all of your equipment slots to gun handling. All that being said, it's definitely a good tank for the bond store teir and worth picking up if you like brawly tanks

How are you reliably supposed to farm bonds other than spending money? Installed the game recently after quite a few years. Reaching even 5k seems way stretched for a causal player.

I played for 12 years to get a t34-3, alpine tiger to trade in black market, and an improved stabiliser, and I have 17k bonds left 😅 it's a fkin grind man! I'm also casual btw, mostly only play at night at the wkend

I play mostly high tiers (mostly 9/10 and some 8 for credit grindig), I don't find it a struggle to get bonds really, may be because you play lower tiers and those do not grind bonds.

Play all events, imo frontline and steel hunter are the best. Also play tier 10. You keep collecting 5 by 5 bonds, it adds up quickly.

REMEMBER always this, guys: The "Defender" is WORST than the 252U. Yes, yes, yes, they are "exactly" the same tank... BUT... most players see a Defender and they load gold ammo... however... the 252U doesn't get that "fame". ;)

@@ubiergo1978 i get that logic, but 252U has tough armor regardless of the player's skill, and I'd rather have 100% chance of penetrating it's lower plate, than 50%, just because it's stupidly thick.

​@@danilojasovic4800 mostly because you know the 252U and the defender are the same tank... But a lot of players don't. ;), which is the reason that if I play a defender, I get all the gold shells in the game... If I play the 252U, I don't.
