I never understood, why 30B got so bad ground resistances compared to the 30 prototype (which is still one of my favorite tanks). The speed on the T9 was the outstanding feature of this tank and on the Tier 10 they simply forgot about that XD

30b is a paper tank historically, i think what it needs is tiny bit more penetration on both shells

The AMX 30B is one of the most real top tier tanks in WOT... The AMX30 program was branched off of a collab with Germany and the leo, and it became the base for Frances MBT's through the 60's and 70's, and even the AMX 40 in the 80's. AMX30B's were not only built, but also put into service. Not a paper tank.

I actually like this tank. Reminds me of the Cent AX in a way and I love that thing as well. I feel like the only thing that's keeping it back is the giant tumor on its turret. That and the Leo 1 exists.

I only have the tier 9 amx 30 and i loving it even three marked it...the playstyle as quick flanker and support really suits me but i would say looking into this video the 30b difference is not much besides mm preferences. Also 30b is one of the coolest looking tank imo

30b is actually extremely similar to the T95e6 clan wars tank. Both fast meds with extremely good dpm and huge weak spots. Although t95e6 has better gold rounds and armor.

30B is in a weird position. If it had some frontal armor I feel as though it would be too similar in playstyle to the STB-1, but if it was more accurate then it would be too similar to the Leo. I wonder how it would be with some really good hesh ammo, like 460 or 480 alpha and 150 pen or so

100 more HP, change standard and premium shells to AP and keep the pen and velocity as they are, remove the cupola and increase the camo-rating accordingly or armor up the turret and cupola. Done. That thing used to have 260 ap and 320 heat at release. Those would be fair. Keeping the cupolla wouldnt be a must. Adding mobility and spotting range, i'd say

With standard equipment this tank can get 3700-3900 DPM, (Possibly over 4K dpm with Bond). The only thing the AMX 30 B needs, is better standard APCR pen, bit better HEAT Shell velocity, it does not really need a damage buff, just needs faster shell speeds and better penetration on it's standard rounds and maybe a touch better turret armor to make up for that skyscraper of a cupola, then maybe an engine tuning faster engine or better ground resistances to make it more comparable to Leo 1/STB-1

@@Parkourboy86 I wouldn't disagree with that idea. I've found it can be good in that situation as long as you're not being directly pressured. Once you have the enemies attention, your done for if you keep trying to poke. It does work at range too, but it's tricky. What can really fuck you up is switching between the Leo and the 30B lol

It would be cool if WG used historical ammo for tanks. The French 105 as used on several tanks was designed to fire HEAT, and a solid shot did not exist. Something else: the Elite badge system has nothing to do with player skill. It just shows how often the player presses "Battle."

I'm pretty sure that going from the tier 9 amx 30 to the tier 10 amx 30b is the smallest upgrade in the game. The tank is almost functionally worse, it's ground resistance gets worse, the cupola gets bigger, and the already weak pen stays the same. For all that it gets a tiny bit better dpm and some hp. Give the tier 9 the tier 10's hp and its actually better.

This tank is balanced like no other T10 med(esp. the premium ammo, no med with mobility should be able to pen E100 turret front). Leo 1 is in that regard not balanced, its the peak of sniper meds. Its like saying every hulldown heavy is bad because its not as good as Chieftain, every light is bad because its not as good as EBR 105....

Not gonna lie, I don't mind the 30b at all... in fact I quite like it. Only buff I would consider doing is either a bit armor in the turret (at least so standard shells can't pen you as easily) or the old progetto-like hull that bounces pretty much everything. Also a penetration buff would be great, on both shell types

I think this tank will get a reload speed buff rather soon but that's it. It needs to have the old gun it had, the same gun the Char Future 4 has, that's all. At this moment this tank is completely outdated. Ed: The tier 9 is great though

Hope that some day WG make those 2 AMX 30's back in the tech tree with some "re-adjustments" to make them good enough, and get a "new" tier 8 "Proto" AMX... (that would be the right way to do it, they already have it just make a "regular" one).. We need a French non auto loader medium tech tree line!!

I never got why they removed this line. They could indeed simply add 1 tank and it's a whole line. Same with the T-62a. I get it was similar but worse than obj 140 but instead of changing either to an armored and the other to a high dpm accurate version they added k-91 and obj 430u and never gave the t-62a any love anymore. I think there's plenty older players that want to keep playing both.

My favorite tier 10 medium, even though tanks like Leo 1 and Centurion AX can play this tank role much better i still prefer the 30b. But it really needs a buff to accuracy, pen and turret armor

When I still played the game (1-2 years ago), I kind of liked 30B. Nible little bastard with a high probability of hitting your shots on the move. Armor wasn't anything to write about, but sometimes you just bounced things by miracle. IMO it was well-balanced. Cupola made some corners a bit awkward but it's also a reminder of the golden days of WoT when weak spots actually were weak.

Its a sniper medium that does not have the accuracy, penetration and shell velocity to do so effectively. The HEAT in particular is horrible for the ranges this tank has to play from. It still does fine in terms of gunhanding, dpm and camo. It should not be as effective as the Leo at sniping but it should atleast be a good competitor with a dpm advantage over it.

30b doesn't need armor, it needs pen and shell speed buff, 248 apcr is just way too bad and the heat can lose a race against EBR and bounce on FV so i'd say it needs ammo buff instead

Funny thing is that in world of tanks blitz they buffed this tank up a while ago and it's still not good, but it's significantly better than it is on pc. I would very much take those small buffs to make this tank playable on pc

On the Russian server, they buffed this thing quite a bit. They increased its alpha to 420 and increased its reload speed giving it a whopping 3,405 base dpm, giving it 17 more than the Badger, which is bonkers! Also, I found a fun way to play this tank, go all out on dpm and play up close. The gun mantle is nearly impenetrable and takes up most of the turret face and you can out dpm most tanks. If you're moving erratically at close distance, most players will miss the cupola or bounce the mantlet. The equipment I used was Rammer, Turbo, Stabs.

(I play on console and this tank has a sub 47.88% winrate. It is garbage.) 1) Increase the armor on the cupola and gun accuracy. Those are literally the only things keeping it from being somewhat competitive. It is a tank meant for peeking and it cannot peek over ridgelines because that tumor is so giant. 2) If they don't want to change the armor, they could make it a light tank hunter. They could increase the top speed from 65 to 75 and the reverse speed from 23 to 35. They would also have to lower the still concealment from 339.14 to 315. This would let them keep the tank exactly the same, but could completely change its role. 3) The final option would be to increase its accuracy (Sigma especially - sigma is %chance to hit a bullseye on reticle. This is why the kv2 is such a meme and can hit shots on the move) and DPM. This would keep the tank in the same role, but would make it more viable in that role.

Doesn't it bother anyone that there is still no french medium line from bottom to top in the tech tree but numerous premium medium tanks of the same nation? When will it be time for wg to realize they can and should add 2 french medium lines branching off of tier 5, one with 3 crew bat-chat style and one with 4 crew amx 30 style. they have enough premium tanks. they can use collector medium tanks for tier 2-4

I have both AMX 30 and AMX 30 B. Idk why but I just love these two tanks, especially 30 B but I just can't make it work and it's quite frustrating because I really think they could do something very interesting with this tank. AMX 30 is just fine but I'm just sad that 30 B looks much better but is significantly worse compared to his tier IX counterpart.

After 2k battles with this tank im still on 92%, I really really enjoy is as it has a very special playstyle compared to other tier 10 meds. For me it is about time they buff it, not armor, but shell velocity on all shells plus platform, because it just BBQ every time you get hit in front. That's all it needs, it's a very fun tank once you get to know how it works.

When this tank first came out, it was a Leopard with Armor ! So WOT's NERFED BOTH the Armor, and the cannon. Making the 30B the POS we all love and know now. ( In its hey day, the 30B was more popular than the Leopard in WOT's.)

The worst T10 is FV215b Heavy IMO. I loved it back in the day, but it's just so extremely outdated that it's not worth playing at all. You can't side scrape at all, not because of the weak spot under the turret, but because of the side armor. It just doesn't work at all. The module damage is also insane. Sure, the gun is very good even by today's standards, but that's not enough. I don't want it to be one of the next meta tanks, but right now it feels like a T9 tank at best. It is a slow heavy tank with basically no armor.

This tank was better then progetto after 1st nerf. Most autoloaders at tier10s are inflexible to begin with To be fair, amx 30b is still a sad tank, mostly cuz the tier9 is actually great and the tier10 pales in comparison to amx 30. U could say amx 30B is definitely underrated seeing as it has the best DPM as a medium at tier10 along with STB-1 and K-91. The speed is amazing too. Gold pen and gun handling needs a buff. Also the turret should be sturdier as it would fit the theme of "the tech tree" before it got removed and added to the collecters vehicles.

Only flexible autoloaders in tier 10 are vz and tvp imho and this is due to a package of either speed, armor and reload or just speed and reload. Other autoloaders are either reloading for a quarter of the current game time or too slow to keep their gun in action.
