When you live on a cold, windy island where it rains daily - you invent the kind if culture that keeps you smiling. The Irish did this to great effect. Wow!

Can someone please identify that language the lady is singing at 10:05 ? Definitely Celtic, but it doesn't sound Irish to me. Breton perhaps? Cornish? I'm at a loss...

What is going on here? A guitar, an electric guitar, a piano, women, step dancing!! Where have the real Chieftains gone? I knew them in the early 1960s. They saved traditional Irish music. This is all very good, but what a change!
@AlexiHolford3 жыл бұрын
Variety is the spice of life. You have a career of decades and of course you do different things. Enjoy whatever you want, but why disparage this?
@8ightBitKid11 жыл бұрын
all sound like traditional session instruments to me save the electric guitar, but hey that's what saves any music, trying something different

Far too little space and credit given to that amazing group The Low Anthem. Only one song here with the lovely Jocie Adams on the clarinet, and then back to dictator Paddy Moloney and his own little orchestra, and finally messed up by two very unnecessary dancers.. It's disgusting how condescendingly he treated them.
