Mitski is one of those artists that would come to a country like Ireland, which has so few people comparatively, to perform. She probably will only earn enough to pay for the stop, but she's coming all the same. I saw Jessica Lea Mayfield recently (who's actually announced a tour with Mitski in the States), and she's in a similar boat. There was barely anyone at her gig, but it was awesome. I thanked her for being so selfless and devoted. So pumped for Mitski in October.

@angrygoldfish6 жыл бұрын
Funnily enough, I find it's the bigger bands that often don't come to Ireland, at least in my experience. Two of my favourite bands, Circa Survive and Deftones, barely ever play Ireland. It took Deftones ten years to return to Ireland. They came in May 2017 and sold out Vicar Street I think. Great show. The last time they were in Ireland was 2006-2007. Circa Survive always tour, but they never come to Ireland either. I have been a big fan since 2006, and I haven't seen them come here in that time. But I saw Jessica Lea Mayfield in Whelans earlier this year and it was fantastic. There was no more than 50 people there, but she still came. She and Mitski were supposed to tour together in the States, but Mayfield had to withdraw because of her health. That would be an awesome show. A lot of the smaller metal bands I follow from America often come through Ireland as well.

I saw her for the first time on a whim. That show changed my life in all sorts of gorgeously unexpected ways. Can't wait to see her perform again. This time I have an idea of what to expect, and I'm so fucking excited for that reason. Mitski is heart incarnate.

I know that its almost impossible thta mitski will see this but if by some miracle of any god she sees this i just want to say thank you soo mutch for everything you do mitski i truly thank you from the deepest depths of my soul for making my and soo many other peoples lives soo mutch better you are one of my favorite people and have saved me from soo many terrible and toxic thoughts that would have destroyed my motivation or drove me too even worse. So i dont know if ive said it enough yet but still thank you soo very very much you extremely attractive woman.
