I appreciate the costumes and the show Dartmouth puts on. I find your shows very fun to watch. I liked your show last year too. This is a parent from Ayala HS and we like to support all the groups. Everyone works so hard to put on an 8 min show. My hats off to your kids who found us in the parking lot to congratulate our kids. Good luck to you in the future.

The comments about matched grip and technique make me laugh. If Tom Aungst, who's forgotten more about marching percussion than any commenter (including myself) have ever learned, wants them to play matched then guess what? They play matched. Times change. When I marched, it was odd to see a snare line playing matched. Now it's the norm. Big deal. Commenting on that means the show was clean, well written, and well performed and you've got nothing else to point a finger at.

*Not bad on the music,* but the equipment could have been better chosen for the theme. Yamaha®? Why not Premier®, a British manufacturer that already supports DCI®? (I would have recommended 38214RQL snares and 38318RQL euphoniums on 6821 vest carriers; 38103SL quads with 38106RC and 38108RC shots on 6824 vest carriers configured for hex toms; and scaled basses from 38420RQL through 38428RQL with 6822 vest carriers for this performance.) And why no faux leopardskins for the bass drummers?
@kyletrout55228 жыл бұрын
+B. C. Schmerker yes because public schools have unlimited budgets to purchase brand new equipment for the battery every year, based on the show.

As a Brit' I liked the concept of the show and found it entertaining. However I don't think that our national flag should have been used as a costume or guard flag. Perhaps a slight variation of the 'Jack' would have worked just as well. Just saying!

I had to explain that the Parade Rolls On, Kiddo, but you can join them when you are bigger...he is entering 6th grade, playing the Cello...Lol!! Guess marching lost its appeal to the 2 Cellos ;P I tried, at least he's interested in music!

Okay. Anyone who dislikes this show or school because it makes them cringe because there is no traditional you are honestly pathetic. If you are so ignorant to music that you are upset a group of kids (emphasis on kids) are playing at this level but without traditional you have no creditability. Also, don’t make some shit excuse like they won’t be able to do dci or WGI because people from this school have and they are perfectly capable to do so. Just so pissed off when I see these kids in the comments who are probably like 13 who think this school sucks because they can’t play traditional. 95% of them don’t hold it right and half of them do traditional is their right hand which is wrong,
