@JohnSno-yo9ge why have it on the extremely limited PUBLIC land along the lakefront if it’s domed? If you cannot enjoy the lakefront while at the stadium it shouldn’t be taking up huge amounts of limited space on the lake front.

@@jamesorsby7553 did you know the Bears are leasing Soldier Field??? Like the Bears don’t see any money if they have a Taylor Swift concert. Or a Kanye concert. That all bread goes to the Chicago Park District. On top of that, solider field is one of if not worst stadium in the NFL. The Bears wants at least own part of the stadium so they too can “pocket”. Again why not have a Super Bowl here? Why not have a Wrestlemania here? That going to generate a lot not only for the franchise but also the city. But hey you are entitled to your opinion just like mine.

For everyone already getting mad: the city is going to own the stadium. The Bears are NOT asking for billions while owning the stadium. There are rules with the lakefront where the team wouldn’t have the option to own the stadium or the land. The team wanted to move to Arlington Heights and they were willing to pay for 100% of the development but AH fumbled and at the same time both the Bears and the city of Chicago changed leadership (which changed their relationship). If you’re mad, blame AH.

@doubletbigballz If fans want the McCaskeys out of the football business and something else, plus gambling, that what I would do. Where do football players spend 3/4s of their time? At the practice facility. Kids and families can watch practice. Get autographs, eat, dine, live. parents can meet explayers. Sports medicine facility's, Apartments, shopping, concerts, high-school games. 10 times the amount of use that just a stadium would be. Move out of Lake Forest, and be what you truly are sports entertainment.
