Wow, after watching this video, just replacing one front navy unit with one air unit versus Navy Boss made my damage go from 1.95T to 11.3T. I don't have any Air to Navy suppression, so it must be from the 5 explosions and super-damage!

This is a good video. I put 2 off unit stacks on the very 2 slots of the back row and this has helped me put the main units in my assault places and take advantage of the elemental strikes as well I have tried it with only one off unit and I do 30-50% less damage that way. My comps are usually damage up, damage down, armor boost, weapon boost, and high rate of fire. I just got level 70 but I haven’t had a chance to hit the world boss since I leveled up.

Weakening towers have no effect on the world boss because the world boss stats are already 0% it won't go negative. Strengthening facilities do help you against the world boss because they increase your crit rate and attack

Another you’re missing is off troops in front left and back right. This will give the big hit from main in middle center 3x and on the off troop in back right twice. I think until you get super strong on your main, getting 3 explosions on your main is worth giving up one stack to off troop.

Good video we been working on this to 👍 the one useful comment I have is this !! Your fist set up with 4 air stacks gets all explosions in first round nearly then goes the rest of rounds weakens due to odd stacks ! The only difference between that and the second formation with 1 stack of tanks is that the second formation takes 5 rounds to cause 5 explosions but the rest of time your fighting with nearly a full set of main troops so should cause more dmg on average !! Everyone don’t forget crits give big range from att to att so do 5-10 with a set up to get your average range from a set up !! Don’t try one set once and because a little lower give up on it 👍👍👍👍

Something I’ve been experimenting with is having a different type of off unit example of it’s a navy boss I have my off unit a plane cause planes against navy. So I have the first 8 slots navy then one spot a plane. But that depends on what type of boss it is

Would certain hero perks help with surpression? Like if I have Simon with 3 navy perks and 1 army perk, and I put a tank in for this strategy, would simons army perk help that even more so?

Perks don't affect suppressions directly sorta. Perks are based on how much damage you do so if you grade your attack or damage it'll cause your suppressions to multiply it a little bit. But perk s don't have anything that directly affects suppressions

Our alliance figured this out early on. I'm AF main and went from 1.25 aa with 5 hits to 2.5 aa per hit by adding a navy stack in the back row. Was nice to be on top of the leader board again for a change 😆

Hey! Have you tried having 2 off units, 1 in first slot and 1 in last slot and then having all main units in rest of the slots? This way your main components will be equipped to your main units and secondary components will be equipped to your off units. If you haven't, do try this formation. I've been having the most damage using this formation.

No, I've heard a lot about it. Also 8 & 9 with a hfr is a similar one I've heard. Since this video I've just single stack hit wb to get the hits out of the way. The individual damage rewards Don't change much depending on your rank. Especial if you're not top 3. The 5 attack participation reward is all that really matters to me

hmm suppression. just how useful are they really? i've seen people with lvl 45 and above suppression on all three, yet like myself, some only focused their resources in one place (lvl 45 army and below level 35 on nave and air force in my case). would love to put more on them but i need the resources towards my perk.

Class perks should always come first for sure. But you should also try to find ways to increase gathering speed so you can work on those suppressions

The only reason you are getting similar results without the explosions is Fenrir, because Fenrir screws around with it massively (and so does Arvak i guess for air), for any other units the explosions are better no matter how much stronger that unit type is for you because it would also make the explosions stronger as well.

If fenrir affects the explosions in any way which I could not find any evidence of in my testing. Then that means this explosions aren't always better and multiple formations can be the answer. Also the majority of my testing was with regular level 80 units to prevent any kind of contamination to the results because I don't have equivalent Valhalla units.

Although imo, she seems to be better than Nimitz in terms of atk increase, but the extra attack chance that fires after every unit is debatable. It seems to cause more damage when the targets are afflicted with atk debuff, I wonder if Akatora's Mecha hits that causes atk debuff as well can be included. She's basically Aka without the rage but with the atk buff like Nimitz. But her extra missile is based on chance not a sure thing like Aka's mech missile thats guaranteed at 4-10 or 5-11

Her ability procs pretty commonly so it pairs very well with aka from my experience. So you're basically always getting the debuff on wb with aka missiles so she can always get the damage boost

It was a good hit Akotara you have it at a good level but I would suggest you have better Bessel because it does more damage than Nimitz on my server the strongest in ships gets to do 22 aa damage when she is a boss with army attributes but she has 3 heroes with, nimitz, bessel and akotara and it does incredible damage

I use Nimitz over Bassel for multiple reasons. When taking into account his war stat it is likely that Nimitz has a higher attack than Basel however this results in lower HP. It is much easier to get nimitz's exclusive skill higher than Bassel which also results in higher attack. Plus I have a much easier time perking out Nimitz because he's a free hero. So once I max out his perks I can transfer them over to a premium hero. At some point I will replace Nimitz but not until I'm done perking out three good Navy heroes

The main unit crit is guaranteed if it's a hit, so you want more hit rate on it so the boss can't dodge (if he dodges you don't get the crit), crit buff doesn't do anything on the main unit.

Even a hit at 100% crit rate doesn't seem to always crit for example one of the army Valhalla tanks has 150% crit rate but still doesn't crit every time.

So long as your main unit takes advantage of suppressions it doesn't matter all that much. If you weren't using army as main they do hit single targets harder if everything else is equal so they are a good secondary

Finally got my first stack of Fenrir, and to my disappointment they don't work with the first formation as primary unit (mainly against army world boss). I suspect that's why it doesn't work for you either based on the Fenrir stacks shown in the second formation. When Fenrir fires three-times against the world boss, the elemental critical hit will get swap because the world boss sees it as not just one, but three elemental attacks. So when the next unit type fires, it will get the elemental critical instead of the primary elemental you expect to proc. I will train up some Jormungandr and that should work much better in the first formation. Fenrir will do splendidly as secondary unit type (against the navy world boss), because the extra shots will correct elemental crit that got swapped because of random hero procs.

Bradley's ability works all the time. The reason you don't see him on offense very much is because he's often replaced with Ben. Ben's shield ability only applies on offense. Also gira isn't necessarily a better Brad. Gera increases damage decrease by 45%. Bradley gives you a shield of 45% of your health. Which one of these is better is likely situationally dependent. The more health you have the bigger boost you'll get from Bradley. The more damage the opponent has the more benefit you'll get from Gira for example

I've used that against the alliance Droid that requires three different elements but it's not great against the world boss. The community came up with a strategy very similar to that shortly after I made this video but it involves your main units in slots two through eight and an off unit in slot 1 and 9 but they have to be the same type of units. This results in three of the explosion landing on your main units while only two on the off units. If you mix up the units like you're suggesting this would result in three of the explosion landing on your off units in only two on your main

I offered three formations in this video because different levels of gameplay caused different formations to do different damage against the world boss. These were the three most common formations that I was able to compile from people in the community. I'm aware there's a fourth one that has cropped up ever since this video came out using two off units. While I don't mind being told I'm wrong at the very least offer the solution rather than just comment this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. In many of my videos I pin the comments that correct me. Or I quote the comment and give credit. Also by the sole fact of doing more damage than me doesn't mean that your formation is better. There were plenty of people who were stronger than me that did more damage than me even though they were using One type of unit in combat. You could have all the strategy in the world but that's not going to overcome someone who simply has much better stats
