This incredible video shows the moment a humpback whale bursts through the calm sea close to an unsuspecting fisherman.
Taken by photographer Douglas Croft, 60, the photo shows the whale shooting up through the waves close to a boat with an unsuspecting fisherman in before it crashes back down.
The sequence was captured in Monterey Bay in Canada.
Douglas said: "It was quite exciting! Salmon season coincides with the time when humpbacks are returning to Monterey Bay to feed for the summer and there were hundreds of boats on the bay fishing.
