Not a predator as much as a filter feeder. That is a right whale, a very rare endangered species. It feeds on krill. Not dangerous to humans but humans are dangerous to it. They tend to blunder into boats. Many are killed that way. If it had been a bigger boat, the whale would have been seriously injured or killed.

The whale is an endangered right whale. Very rare. Sighting one is a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence now. They used to be common all over the world. Overwhaling has brought the species to the brink of extinction. They haven’t recovered even as a protected species, numbers aren’t any higher than in the 1960s when they were first listed. Females have one calf every two years and it takes several years for a female to mature enough to mate.

Your an idiot. A whale can spot floatimg surface structures/debris seperate from foraging fish. The boat AND the occupants are NOT IN the water like shark attack potentials to be 'IN THEIR ENVIRONMENT' They are minding their own buisness fishing.
