UK: "There is something wrong with US Marines." Maybe, but when the Falklands War broke out there was a detachment of US Marines on board one of the UK's carriers as part of a NATO exchange program, and technically under UK command, but they were ordered to disembark before the task force got underway because the British didn't want to risk American lives in a 'British War'. But, the Marines, being that they're MARINES, felt a little dismayed because, according to the British, they felt it was "improper to have a war and not invite the US Marine Corps".

I can’t believe we’re this far in and I don’t think we’ve touched the fact that Buff uses a large folgers can of boom powder to start each engine in an emergency, because he’s too full of hate to fit an APU. Or that he literally had Darth Vader as a radar navigator (James Earl Jones, in "Dr Strangelove"). He now has an ESA radar which is the dish from a super hornet paired with the processor from a strike eagle. Think the J models are also getting two big ass screens to replace all the ancient steam gauges. And, the newer engines of course. Gonna be more high tech than the kid soon.

You know you've got it rough when you get dumped in Russia as human cannon fodder, and the bread and a few pudding cups make you convert to a new God on Earth.. Can you imagine if they were housed in multi-level homes complete with all the furnishings, modern appliances, indoor running hot and cold water, indoor plumbing, a well-stocked pantry, and getting paid actual money in exchange for their labor? The whole damn country would desert. No wonder they aren't allowed to know what actually goes on in more and more of the world.
