Wham Bam Thank You Dam!

Here is another Beaver dam removal. This one is for a private land owner instead of a municipality. It is considered a private road and up to the landowner to deal with the beavers.

Just watched this video, and I gotta say that beavers are some very industrious SOB'S. That dam had to top close 2 7 feet. You rock dude 🤣🤣🤣🤠🤠👍👍

I’m looking back at this and the water line is impressive. I was wishing those sticks on the left would disappear but, it didn’t happen! 😅 By the looks of it they had no where to go with that dense bush surrounded the dam. Nice job…. 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

Very skilfull in using the rake to dig and pull the debris, and at the same time utilizing the current to break the dam from the middle and the edges. It is amazing to watch how a dam be demolished within 20 minutes.

Hi Dion. It helps a lot. I try remove all the bigger sticks so they don't get stuck downstream somewhere. It really makes a big bifference. It can be difficult on smaller dams when there is not as much water to help. Thanks for watching.

@Christine Gombas They are really neat creatures. You should read about them a little bit. They pretty much have to. It's how they safely access their food. They are really not graceful on land and are exposed to predators. They also need the deep water to survive the winter.

I didn't need my boat for this one. I was able to walk here. I pulled a sled behind me with a rope around my waist. They type you use to go tobogganing down snow hills. This is literally next to a road blocking the drainage ditch. 🌊 🦫.

Hi Louis. Funny you mentioned the oil sheen on the water. There is a bunch of scrap metal and garbage in the bush there. The recent rising water from the beavers must have got into all that and mixed with the water. They are OK, alive and well.
