When I watch this performance, I see a George Michael full of positivity, ready to conquer the world 🌞. I think that was, for him, the best time in his whole career. Wham! had a few hits at that time, but they weren't too big. George was not yet tormented by fame, had not yet had any personal tragedies, drug or health problems, and was not yet being put down by the media. Unfortunately, he had his demons where in the early 80's his life seemed carefree and he had his best buddy by his side. I wish his life could have continued like that.

God rest George Michael, he was the best British male vocalist since Tom Jones and a brilliant songwriter. Much more importantly he was a decent human being who cared about people and went the extra mile to help people when they needed it. On one TV show a woman was upset she couldn't afford a course of IVF and George heard her and called the show and offered to pay for it. God bless him. Ironic that his was often an unhappy life spent alone. He cared, and when he died the world was the poorer for it.
