Never-the-less, I think George's stuff was always the best as part of Wham, he was never as good once he went solo. When I look at him here, so full of life, knowing that he'd still be with us today if he hadn't f*cked his life up. It makes me both sad and angry. 😥😡

Imagine being 23 , ridiculously handsome, extremely talented , money in the bank and bringing your hugely successful band to an end to pursue a solo career when you know how badly insecure you are and will not have your band partner to lean on as a crutch, to help take the attention away from yourself..but you do it anyway because your talent is too big and too great for Wham. I actually cried watching this go out on tv in 1986 as they were my favourite band , but less than a year later Faith was released. THANK YOU SO MUCH GEORGE..you’re an absolute legend and your music lives on

Was watching an interiew of him the other day & the sublime beauty of his joy 💕 ... anyones joy really ... & how he was so hounded by the media & how disrespectful they were to him. Horrible not to be able to walk down the street in peace !!! He had such a beautiful & sweet soul....makes me so sad... as ANYONE who had to experience that ~ would have been affected too. It just makes me wonder ...if he had been able to create a "Branson Missouri" concert venue in England & performed when he felt like it with out all the hassle of the travel & the interviewing & the selling of himself ...If it would have made a difference somehow. Elton, Adele, The Stones, Sting, Amy Winehouse & all the other English performers....make life a little easier for them all. This fame devouring people thru paparazzi, newspapers, magazines & interviewers, & all the fucking autographs - ( people - really ? ...wouldn't it just be nice to spend a moment with him & say - hey ....thank u for all the great music - u r loved & enjoy your day)... & the grouling touring schedules- this all has to stop ! Winehouse, Brittany Spears, Lady Gaga ... ( & Lady Di ) How many are going to be gound up and spit out ? ❤💕❤💕❤💕❤💕❤

While I of course think Michael Jackson was the better at this, George Michael was phenomenally gifted. This isn’t bashing in the slightest. Michael Jackson was just out of this universe good at it while George was just a ring or 2 below.

There isn't a comparison between Michael Jackson and George Michael. Michael Jackson was one dimensional, he could sing and dance. George was multi talented, wrote lyrics, took one note at a time and eventually formed a complete song. George also taught himself how to play numerous musical instrument, he had rhythm and could senusually move while singing. Again, simply no comparison. George Michael was the ulitmate super star.

What a privilege it is to watch Wham! perform live. This was GM at the outset, before fame and drug use had become thoroughly out of control for him. Were things easier for him then? Maybe. This late musical genius was born to be a star, and he more than made good on it. I think he gave the world all he had to give, and at some point there was just no more to borrow. He died almost 8 years ago this Christmas, and I hope he rests in peace.❤

Loving the wham music - timeless - best bit of air-guitar I've ever seen too - they are not even plugged in.

I used to do lip sync contests to this song and other Wham songs with a high school friend that looked like Andrew and we ended up winning every week because we were dead ringers the songs were all hits so the crowds loved us...great memories ❤
