Whanganui looks lovely and it seems to have a proper city feeling about it. I mean, it's no Auckland, but it shows you don't need to live in a super expensive place to get a city vibe I guess.

It's a little city! But yea nice vibes 🙂 Auckland is an anomalie in NZ being the largest city but even then on a global scale it's considered very small. We love that about it though! 🙂 There are lots of great places to live in NZ that aren't as pricey as Auckland but it does depend on the lifestyle you're after though 🙂

Cool road trip to Durie Hill Elevator! Love the long tunnel where you can hear a long echo of your own voice haha. OMG that yellow submarine airbnb is so cool! 😍 The owner must have loved The Beatles a lot. Peter seems to enjoy being a captain in this submarine haha. Off the grid airbnb seems nice! No wifi once a while is good to reconnect with natures 👍

@@PeterandYen there is a lot happening in Whanganui, from the arts, culture and events to the wild West coast sea and awa. I can recommend Castlecliff Beach (more and more frequented by seals/sea lions), Kai Iwi, Bushy Park, the Bridge to Nowhere in the Whanganui National Park , the Waimarie paddle steamer, MV Wairua, canoeing the awa, St Michael's Church at Putiki Marae, the river market, and more 😀

They built the tunnel and elevator to make it easier for residents to get to the wider city apparently! Coz otherwise people had to walk up a whole bunch of stairs 😆 yea Peter loves tiny homes! These Airbnb tours are def his calling lolol 😆👍
