Just curious. When the scene is done, do you only use this mod to record everything and not Rockstar Editor? So it actually records to a file on your computer? Im guessing you dont even need to use rockstar editor for this mod?

Yes you do need to record normally. This mod only records the actions and replays them. However, since it hasn't been updated or fixed in quite a while, I recommend using Menyoo PC instead. I have a real ambitious project in mind, but while I am setting up scenes, filming, I keep rechecking your tutorials. I realize that this will take a while before everything will fall into place. Thanks mate. I recommend using Menyoo task sequences to set up scenes as it is much more reliable (albeit not flawless) and you can save your work inside a Menyoo map to continue in later sessions. Scene Director is mostly dead except for a few useful features.

Scene Director is pretty much dead at this point. You should rather use Menyoo PC and watch my 1 hour tutorial about it. It's more powerful. But you can use both in parallel, which I do.

I have a Skin Control tutorial, too. You can save your characters with it, but they don't magically connect with Scene Director, so you have to reapply/reload them with every recording session.

So, this is already an older video and I don't know if there are any better techniques to create machinimas nowadays, but I was trying out Scene Director but it was a bit disapointing. For example, when I record some characters to shoot and play the recording, they don't shoot smoothly. It's like they are lagging or something. When I drive with a car to a specific location, it isn't accurate. It drives far beyond the desired destination. When using a RPG, it doesn't play my actions of shooting with an RPG. I was assuming I could save my actors + scenes, but it seems I can't. For example, when the game crashes or has to be reloaded, I'm not teleporting to my scene location but everyone spawns in the safehouse. They also don't have cars anymore in which I recorded the scene with. And so on. I must say I'm just trying it out, and these are just my first things I noticed so far. Maybe I did miss some things. But for now it feels like you have to repeat a lot of stuff in order to get things right. What I've been doing the last months is just programming my own scripts, which plays animations, shooting tasks, driving tasks and so on and it is more fluid than Scene Director, but I donot have full control over all of the outcome then. But, I can save all locations, objects, cars, and so and continue were I left. Is there any kind of advice you have for when you have to make a big shooting scene for example? Like 10-15 actors shooting at each other? It feels like Scene Director is more used for one-on-one scenes like a conversation with someone and stuff like that instead of bigger scenes with lots of action. But I might be wrong!

So if I want to make complex actions with multiple characters how would I do that? Scene director like you said doesn't follow exactly what you input. For example I am trying to record a fight with 3 cops and 1 guy. I need them all shooting and running while the robber is shooting at them too. Whats the solution?

If you look into "aggressive interaction" I'm pretty sure there are already torture scenes in the list. Otherwise you can search animations like I've shown in the video and then combine the characters with objects (like seen in machinima masterclass).

Scene Director finally stopped working for me after the last update, the game just crashes itself when I want to add actor 2. it's a shame as it's powerfull and simple to use. I wonder if it's really the scene director mod itself or other script mods that might have a conflict with it that caused the crash.

Could you please advise on using editing mods for machinima but still being able to play online without getting banned or having any other kind of problem. Do you have a video that shows the best way to uninstall or disable mods if need be? I saw that Take Two stopped the use of OPENIV and then allowed it again when there was a backlash. I wouldn't recommend trying to go online with mods. If you're switching between modded SP and clean MP it's best to just store two different installs on your hard drive. One is stuffed with all cinematic tools, the other one is clean vanilla. Then you just copy the one needed into your actual install folder of GTA V.

Can we only use pedestrians etc as actors? I want to make a video with specific custom made characters and outfits and I just really can't seem to find a way around it. unless I get a bunch of real people online to help but that's not really practical for me. You can use any character. Check out my Skin Control tutorial. You can put synced anims to a shortcut like Alt+Num1 and then play it. Then record it normally with F1 or F2.

EDIT: Still seems to work in director mode. But anything else is a no-go. Aiming is broken regardless.

How is Scene Director supposed to record the animations coming from another mod? It's not gonna work. Instead you should use Task Sequences in Menyoo. Please see my Menyoo Tutorial if you haven't yet.

The problem I have with this stuff is If I am doing an escort or chase scene the car I am not controlling goes bonkers. Even at a Low speed. Just yesterday I had two cars the one I was not controlling was set to follow me with escort mode and I went around a curve on a dirt road. I noticed it was not close and I looked back and all I saw was the follow car flying through the air upside down behind me. the messed up part I started the scene pretty close to the turn and my car was going about 10 mph. The following car had to be going 50 or higher. No way would it have made the turn even if it did not flip. Also, do not set the car to drive at all to a waypoint because it won't even stay on the road no matter what setting you use. It just has a mind of its own and will bash into anything in its way. If it does get to the waypoint it would be a once in a million shot. Once it bashed car up so bad the ped got out and walked to the waypoint. The real funny part was even the ped did not use the roadway. He walked across the sandy desert even though it was out of the way to the waypoint.

No driver was not set to direct. It did it no matter what settings I have it on. I do use Menyoo most of the time Yesterday though I just could not get it to work for some reason. Although Today I was able too.

Hi, i see you're really into mods on gta v and stuff, and i was wondering if you could solve the next problem for me. It's about addonPeds, i followed a few diffrent tutorials and i always have the same kind of problem.. Soon as i want to spawn my addonPed there comes the next error wich says "Addon peds (Mod name) not found in ped.rpf" I was wondering if you know what i did wrong during the installation or is there any way to solve this? @@whanowa luckily I've found a fix... You need to update your natives by using the mod NativeHashUpdater... You can download it from gta5mods and use it! It should necessarily fix this. (I've seen elsewhat stating this issue as a result of the older version of natives in their un updated games. Most of the people use cracked versions here which means they can't update. So you just can update your natives here....) But karma decided to fuxk with me and that mod's exe file which updates the natives is not working! *my bad*
