Having paid £1150 for the 4.4's I feel I've ripped off the hifi store. The word bargain doesn't even cover it. These speakers wow people that don't even really care how good sound is. Like having a band in you're lounge. Yes, they're that good.

Just met Ben today at the Capital Audio Fest (CAF) in Maryland! Ben was a super nice and knowledgeable guy. Really loved both the Evo and Linton.

There is no replacing size in speakers. Everyone marvels at the Linton. It is the size of the typical 70's speakers. The small speakers and I had Wharfedales and the really didn't cut it. I also don't think 5 1/4 really cuts it. I had Andrew Jones Pioneer's and they never produce bottom end. I went back to some big speakers and the bass they produce is very deep.

@@MrZlathan3 I love them, had them about 4 months and I think I will keep with them for a long time. Always swapping speakers but think I will stick with these. Give them a couple of weeks and you will fall in love with them.

hello I am very undecided between the two, the linton is scary but the denton I could not hear anywhere. for reasons of space I am tempted more by the dent Can you tell me how it sounds if you have listened to them? if they have low range or are they too dry and cold ??? thanks

I'm very very close to ordering the Evo 4.4's in Walnut. The only place I see them is from Music Direct. Will you be carrying these? I don't even see them on Wharfedale's website yet. I am tempted by the Diamond 11.5's but I have been told by someone who has heard the Evo 4.4 that they are substantially improved over the Diamond 11 series.

I had the 4.3 for 2.5 years, I think this depends on your amp as well, but I really didn't find the 4.3s warm at all, cold if anything and lacking bass. fairly detailed sound, but fatiguing after a while I found in the treble department. I sold them and went Dynaudio Evoke route, so much happier

So torn between the Lintons or the evo towers! Will be for hifi vinyl listening. I’m more drawn to the Lintons and the record storage in the shelves is a plus, just the size of them is crazy. Wish I could try some out but due to lockdown I can’t :/ think I might just take a risk and go for the Lintons.

@@xsamitt I have now had the evo 4.3 towers for about a year now. Really like them, but they seem to be very sensitive, they have been repaired twice now due to a speaker clicking/buzzing. Irritating. But sound great nonetheless

Deciding between EVO 4.3 and Lintons. Now I have Dentons 80th. Although I really like them a lot for their huge soundstage and imaging, I would like a bit ''faster'' and more dynamic sound with a bit more air to it. As I understand, by sound, Lintons are simmilar to Dentons with improved dynamics and bigger sound. Have you heard lintons or dentons? How would you compare them to Evo series? I have average size living room about 85 cubic meters. I think evo 4.4 would be too much becouse I have some problems with standing waves.

Because of the large woofer in the Lintons, they're going to have a more traditional soupy warmth. The kevlar drivers in the Evo will give speed and slam, which is certainly what I'm looking for. Seems like every time I think I've come to a decision, another interesting new speaker comes out. These look well worth checking into.

@@ramipo1 I bought the Evo 4.3 but I grew bored of them fairly quickly (had them about 2 years), but I upgraded to the Dynaudio Evoke 20s and SUCH an improvement to the bass-less Evo 4.3 floorstanders. I'll never go wharfedale again. Two speakers also became faulty in the first year and had to be repaired by Wharfdale direct. The Dynaudios I can listen to for hours and hours but the Wharfedale's I found a little fatiguing in the treble department. Hope this helps.

During the first half the lighting and sound quality are pretty bad, quite a distraction. The all around miking needs to be improved, the echo is really bad.

Can anyone comment on the difference between Evo 4.3 and Evo 4.4? I'm deciding between them for my 5x4m room & wonder if there's any difference beyond presumably a bit more bass on the 4.4s due to larger woofers & cabinet?

The 4.4 are a taller and larger unit plus the bass drivers are larger, so will giver a deeper bass sound.

I’ve got the Evo 4.3, and have to say I’m surprised how little bass they have. Might recommend the 4.4 over them if you have the space. The lack of reviews for the 4.3 doesn’t help either. I still love them though.

@@WJL91 i got 11.3, which are very close to 4.3. And they going im selling them, they not bad but on louder volumes definitely bass is not there. Im getting monitor audio brone 500 😆😆😆going from 5” woofer straight to 8” Will have 4x 8” woofers Now we talking ! 😆😆😆

@@WJL91 I tend to disagree on that one. I replaced a pair of quite large Magnat Quantum 800 series floorstanding speakers with the Wharfedale 4.3, which are in fact much smaller than the Magnat, but in terms of base and base presence, there's no difference. But the base has much mure control and precision to it. Try to check your placement and what electronics you're pairing the Wharfedales with, they are quite critical and demand alot of power from your amp. Plus, try to walk around your entire room during music playback to check if base is getting more intense at different spots.
