What 1600 ELO Chess REALLY Looks Like...

As a 1700 player ( probably ), i had a heart attack when black don't see the great move of sac the knight to take rook for nearly 5 moves. Also i saw that brilliant and count all the possible thing can happened and surely 100% black in the winning position. Still, i don't think white is 1600, maybe 1300-1400 or smh because he doing lots of terrible moves, great video though! ( Also why white surrender, Kg1 force, Qh2# )

New to chess. Can someone explain to me why the king can’t go to G1? Nothing is threatening that square from what I see? I don’t understand how this is checkmate? If the queen was on H2 I would understand, but here I’m lost.

It's not a checkmate. If you look closely at the white king, it has a white flag, which means that in that move, white resigned if instead it was # that means it was a checkmate.

It is not mate on that exact move. It will be mate on the next move with Kg1 and Qh2#. Hence, the opponent resigned.

Most moves were just fine, if the rook wasnt hanging to that tactic for half of them

Hahaha that is so true. I’m actually very annoyed at myself. I fianchetto my bishop for that very reason. I want to win a poison pawn or a rook! This case, I didn’t win anything. Thanks for the comment!
