Hwoarang Tekken 8 gameplay. Day 1 challenge of learning Hwoarang and climbing to green ranks. Hwoarang is a stance heavy kicks mostly character with strong lows and frames . I use a strategy of focusing on using a select few moves from 100+ movelist that Tekken characters have that meet a particular formula. As well as learning a simple beginner combo. I mean kinda but not really I practiced for some time in the past taekwondo and some of the kicks and moves Hwoarang does are actually accurate (ofc not his rage art) I can’t say too much on ALL the moves and kicks he does cuz he does use an entirely different style of taekwondo compared to the one I did

his legs move like a puppet I've seen enough MMA and martial arts.. his kicks are so unnatural they're weird to try and read. That being said its a game however. With every other character I can tell when they're going to throw a kick because they telegraph. This mfer tho no his legs look like they're being guided on strings or something @@seanbrown7083

Fun fact dragonov's d2 is -2 on hit, so you can always interrupt any follow-up with while rising 4. This works well at the low to low intermediate lvl. At a higher lvl its not as simple.

JFSR is not like a basic electric btw, compare it to perfect electric once you master it you become a huge hwoarang player with that safe on block launch option

As someone who’s trying to get better with tekken (haven’t played since like tekken tag) who would you suggest as a “starter” character

Claudio is apparently one of the easiest. So is Leroy but he is very weak right now. King is pretty simple if you like grapplers (his half circle throw Is the only hard part) . Jin if you want to play a Mishima but Mishimas are generally harder than most. Dragonov if you can do his instant while running 2 (forward forward forward 2) is pretty straight forward. Asuka I think is pretty easy if you want to play a waifu. Otherwise just pick who you think is cool. Most are fine as a starter. The 2 hardest are probably Kazuya and Lee. Steve and Yoshi had many stances that made them confusing at first for me. I haven't played everyone so I'm probably not the best person to ask.

Electrics are easier because you can cheese the input timing due to it being F * D DF Punch. DF being key. You want to practice F * DF 3 with Hwoarang (simul timing). You can also do this same input with Kaz and Reina.

Yeah it's not consistent enough on hitbox. You have to hit 3 buttons at the same time instead of 2. Will take years to practice. Electrics are much easier with just hitting 2 buttons at same time.
