Believe it or not Paul is actually free. You can either step it to either side or parry it; if you wanna risk it for the biscuits you can punish with your longest reaching move. Personally, love your content and would like to see you do a day one challenge with Paul. 😊

7:57 to make it consistant, do a mini side step left then finish the combo. 1 after df42 will connect this way. Some characters like bryan can punish paul's deathfist. I just block it bc punishing it can be tricky sometimes, unless you're at the wall. There you can launch him.

Btw "LAI" stance is actually called iai stance. It is named after a swordsmanship style "iaijutsu" focused on transitioning between saftety and combat quickly and often involves drawing the sword and striking the opponent in a single motion

If you want to learn how to perceive and tech grabs in tekken 8 pick Dragunov as your opponent in Trainings mode and let him do his 106,107,108 command grab in random order. You should at least start to see which grab is a 1,2 or 1+2 after a few trial and error rounds of that.
