I would urge people to research, roller shutters. There are far more effective than unsightly and death trap window bars. Roller shutters can be manufactured to any size. They can be manually deployed or electronically. Great content. I especially love the design. Thinking outside the box and not another cookie cutter box home.

They both have a good idea that can travel beyond Ghana's borders. There is a ready market in coastline tourist countries like Kenya, Zanzibar, Mozambique and S. Africa, not forgetting Nigeria for these well designed beach houses. The problem is scaling up, to meet continental wide demand. The only solution is while retaining their design, installation, finance and marketing capabilities, to offshore the prefabrication to China, and then market their models for sale and lease-purchase online. China being a place where the manufacturing at scale can happen easier, cheaper and quicker than in Africa, and as they're charging dollars they'll be able to finance offshore fabrication, which can be redesigned into knocked down kit form.

I am convinced these guys did their homework regarding durability of these houses and their foundations. But what I missed in their conversation is the impact of climate change on these houses. Sea levels are rising due to climate change. And this is causing the disappearing of coastal cities and even whole islands. The location of these mini houses are just too close to the sea it makes me so nervous seeing them there. It won't be feasible situating there in a few years due to heavy flooding as a result of global warming and sea level rise.

These are mobile homes, they can be moved. Furthermore they would have made a lot of money on these places before the erosion happens.
