This is one of those moments where I think it would be worth spending $500 especially because he’s such a good sushi chef
@OreWaBikuta2 жыл бұрын
Exactly. You're not paying for some cheap ass supermarket sushi or for some medium-level sushi made in a "normal" restaurant. You're paying both for the probably pretty expensive ingredients and that man's whole education and the road he took to get where he's at. Not only enjoyed delicious food, but also a great show (and idk if the culture or setting allows it, but probably for a pretty neat interaction with the chef as well) Like yeah, no way in hell i would personally ever pay for that, but if you wanna spoil yourself and someone dear, sure, why not, go for it. It's worth it in that sense

Here's what it boils down to. Is the food worth $500? Absolutely fucking not. Is the experience worth $500? Maybe. Fine dining has never been about getting the bang for your buck in terms of food. It's about the atmosphere, the prestige, the experience of fine dining which is why the food is often more intricate and eye-pleasing than it is delicious. The visual appeal is what they're offering you, not necessarily the food.

Understand how difficult it is to get hand selected fresh fish from around the world. Considering for the same quality in japan you probably pay the same amount it’s differently worth it. Of course if only you can afford it. But ppl go to clubs and spend more for shit alc..
@Andreas163752 жыл бұрын
So many broke mfers that don’t realise you pay for the experience and to taste something new. this is a one time thing not what you go out to eat every day. is it expensive? That’s relative but sure. Although 42 pieces for two people is ALOT, for a foodie that’s a 250$ experience compared to someone going out clubbing and spending the same in a weekend on nothing.
