I’m not a fan of most grasses but I love the purple fountain grass! I’m planting those next spring along my fence line. I have neighbors that do not take care of the fence line and naturally it looks very sloppy. So I’m going to plant those all along my side to shield what I have to look at from their side. Plus I love the look of the purple fountain grasses and it will be a welcome change from the other side!

I have three, but their berries are dark purple this year, not bright like yours. It’s their first full season in the ground though. I purchased them after seeing you plant up “Laura’s bed”. I just had to have them. That video is actually how I found your channel. I have been a faithful viewer ever since. All I need in the morning is a cup of coffee, Gardening with Creekside & GA.

I planted a PW Beauty Berry. It had the little white flowers, but, no berries! Does it need something? I’m in zone 7a in Central Oklahoma. We had heat and drought this year, but I kept it watered. It has some protection from afternoon sun in the form of a wood privacy fence.

Is there an herbicide that you would recommend? I'm trying to eradicate an invasive vine.

Spray carefully with roundup. Cut the vine and dab the cutting with a brush if you want to do it accurately.

Jenny, I had a Pretty Berry Bush and the birds dropped the seeds everywhere and I had this coming up on in my gardens. Also, the roots on this bush spread just like the crepe myrtle trees and I had these coming up everywhere. Do you think you will have this same problem? I finally got rid of mine.

Jenny - I bought a mangave that did really well this summer outside. I noticed a pup on it, what is a good way to separate it? TY in advance.

The easiest way I have found is to separate them when repotting the mother plant. A hori hori is a great tool to use to cut/pry the pup out.
