Thanks mate u helped me make my mind up...I too have a 7.5 inch wrist and never go below 41mm....Hamilton did a 43 mm version of this for silly money so will wait and hopefully Baltany will do a 43mm. Cheers for saving me £180 and weeks of disappointment whilst I try to justify a dumb decision....this would not have been my first dumb watch decision rodeo 😂

It’s a stunner. I definitely would go with the white dial. Thanks for the great review!

I’d love this with a quartz movement and just slightly bigger.

I have the original Hamilton this is based on, and this looks to be a really good representation. Not too many people know about the watch it's based on, so it's nice to see them doing something different than just copying the Murph like every other Chinese company!

Counterpoint. I’m glad they don’t over brand their watches. I don’t need or want a letter “B” on the crown.

Outstanding video.I have to go with the MAMACOO, especially with that green dial as my favorite

Baltany seems to be nice quality. I just got the 36mm D12 quartz watch and i love it.

It's gorgeous. I wish, as I do with so many of these, that it came in a 41 or 43 mm case. They're just too small at 39. Thanks for reviewing.

That’s an interesting observation about the lug to lug , not heard it mentioned before in a review but I agree they look too short and turn down too sharply for your/my wrist size . It looked a bit odd but I couldn’t pin it down .
@boomshanka87433 ай бұрын
Steve, it looks like those short lugs mean that many straps will be rubbing on the case. Do you think additional straps will need curved bars to avoid case rubbing? I was ready to love this watch but I am not sure now, mainly for the concerns you raised.

A bronze version would be nice.

The lume is better then the militado because the hands last longer, in the last second the militado completely fades away while the hands and bezel of the baltany are very visible, specially the hands

It does not wear too small, we have damaged our brains with too big watches. It looks great on you.

I'm all for small watches...I wear anything from 36mm up to 42mm. This one just felt a little, odd is all. 🤷

Excellent review as usual Steve. It's a good looking watch, just wish Baltany would offer us an alternative to fauxtina lume on their watches. Totally agree with your comment on the lack of quick release spring bars. Baltany go to the trouble of using NH38 movements, but miss out on this simple improvement.

@@daveindevon5240 thank you...and I didn't even think about that, using the proper movement but not doing quick release

It's a Hamilton Aviation without the small seconds, which the design needs in my opinion. You can pick the original up on the secondary mark for around £500..
@HoratioChinn3 ай бұрын
@@au18ert it’s actually a direct copy of the Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pioneer 38mm which does not have the small seconds dial
@L.A.C_Santos2 ай бұрын
It does not NEED a small seconds, it looks clean and simple, I would even say centre seconds fit this design better as a field watch.
@TippyRacer3 ай бұрын
Hi, would it be possible to get an approximate measurement of dial size? Or the crystal outside diameter/inside diameter of the bezel? I’m curious if this is the common 28.5mm sized dial. There’s a lot to like here at a decent price

Similar sized wrist and I agree the lug to lug should have been a bit larger. Nice looking watch but anyone with a 7 inch wrist or larger may be better off waiting if they come out with a bit larger version.

Nice, but this kinda crosses a line from homage to copy with diff branding. Also needs better AR.

@@aubsta1 sure looks and feels it to me. 38mm is not out of the question for me, but the short lug to lug is what gets me. I'm used to 46mm to 50mm. This one surprised me with how small it wears
