First off Angie I find your tutorials very clear and very cute projects. Sooooo I “fought” breaking down the fibers to make the box lid roll enough to keep my Velcro or magnet on so it would work. I found that 2 of the new stamp pads slid perfectly into the mailbox and I could manipulate the rolling of the top AND glueing down the closure much easier..so I wasn’t caving in the box. !🥴 I left the stamp pads inside until glue dried also. Thank you for this cute idea. I have a dozen done and need to start another of your projects. AND a gift of 2 stamp pads would be a very cool gift for a friend stamper❤❤

This is super cute! I agree, magnets generally hold better. I wonder if the flap came down a little lower if the velcro would have a better chance of holding? The longer paper would put less force on the velcro. In any case, thanks for sharing this project!

Super cute I love all your adorable little treat holders. I made the snowman box for several friends and they loved them. What about scoring every line on the score board? That would put a natural curve on the lid and a design. Just might try that to see how it looks and works. Just on the lid part I mean. Love all your creative and adorable creations. Tfs Denise

That box is way too cute. Instead of scoring the top flat, I scored every 1/8" for 1 1/8" and it automatically curved on the top and since it was flat on the cover I could use Velcro for a closure. By scoring every 1/8" instead of a flat score, the top automatically curved. Thanks so much for the design.

I had to use super glue to hold my magnets. I tried hot glue, regular glue, but nothing held the magnets except super glue. Now they hold well. Also wanted to let you know that I got such a sweet compliment from my mailman on the mailbox last year. I was happy to see this project as I was looking everywhere for a new mailbox for this year. Thank you!

I did another project and did the velcro, but finally had to put 3 velcros as one did not stay stuck. I know magnets work but are more expensive when you have a lot - in my case I'm making 66 treat boxes.

Both are so cute and a fun way to give Christmas treats!! Do you think two sets of velcro dots would work if they were placed closer to the sides of the top rather than only one in the middle? (I don't use magnets if they are going to small children). Thanks for sharing, Angie...always fun to see what you designed!!! 📫
